Default A question on points, am I cheating?

I am using the points slider and looking things up and am surprised on what gets what sets of points. Like my mom is making Sloppy Joes and the sauce is 2 points 1/4 cup. That just seems like cheating. Like it should be way more. Is there more I should take into account besides the points? Like with Atkins you had to look at carbs and sugar. I just feel like I am cheating.

If you used your points slider correctly, and used the proper nutrition facts from the label, there is no reason to believe that you are cheating. Not sure of your brand, but this is the calculation I get for Del Monte Brand Sloppy Joe Sauce:

Del Monte Sloppy Joe Sauce:
Serving Size 1/4 cup (67.0 g)

Amount Per Serving
Calories 50Calories from Fat 0
% Daily Value*
Total Fat 0.0g0%
Sodium 620mg26%
Total Carbohydrates 11.0g4%
Sugars 9.0g
Protein 1.0g

This would be 1 WW point per 1/4 cup of the sauce.

I agree, as long as you use it correctly that is more accurate than the book!

I have a sloppy joe recipe that is the same 2 points per 1/4 cup.

W/W is based on calories/fat/fiber. That is all you have to take into account.
