Default All this talk of popcorn...

...has me thinking.

I'm not a huge fan of substitutions. For example, the black bean brownies. Would have liked them had I thought of them as black bean brownies. Did not care for them in "place of" regular brownies.

So if there's nothing as satisfying as the "no-no option", I'd rather just skip it than "settling".

BUT, what do you eat in place of traditional buttered popcorn? I love air popped popcorn with melted butter on it. Not a lot, but I love that real butter taste. Anybody have a healthier alternative that still has that butter taste?

I do NOT like microwave popcorn. It tastes artificial to me. I hate artificial. That's why I don't eat many packaged foods at all.

Thanks!

Well, I personally hate popcorn (gets stuck in my throat! ouch!), but love buttery tasting things. For me, I spritz some ICBINB on my roasted chickpeas before I cook them and that keeps the buttery flavor without adding too many calories.

Honestly, I don't want the butter! Just the taste! :P

Ooooh, I didn't even think of those. I'll have to check the ingredients!

I've just discovered Genisoy Soy Crisps. They come in several different flavors, and one serving of 17 of them has 110 calories. They're delicious, and really satisfy that craving for a savory snack.

My salty snack is usually Stacey's Simply Naked Pita Chips with either bruschetta or laughing cow.
