This thread is all about the ONE reason we are going to stay on plan today. Of course there are TONS of excellent reasons to. But we're just wondering what's the ONE thing that's gonna do it for you today. It is meant to motivate us when we start wondering why we're working so hard and thinking "Ummm, why are we doing this again?". Or simply just to reinforce our new lifestyles.
Today's ONE Reason: I'm happy. I'm so very happy. Things aren't perfect, G-d knows, but I am just really enjoying myself and for the first time I can remember in ions I am actually enjoying the summer instead of loathing it. I want it to last instead of praying for the cold weather to come around. I am LOVING this more active, more productive, more social life that I have carved out for myself.
I'm sticking to this one for a while: Going to see family at the end of September whom we have not seen in a year. I haven't lost enough yet to satisfy me before seeing them so I really have to put the turbos on and get more weight off before we go. I'm doing this just for me because in the past they have been rather snobbish about my weight issue. They won't be this time.
My ONE reason for staying on plan today is......That my PLAN is one thing I CAN CONTROL, I choose what goes in my mouth and what steps I take. NO ONE else. And I am so happy with how I feel these days, there is NO food that I could ever want that is worth messing this up.
I haven't posted in this thread before. Not sure why, but I realized that this is a healthy thing to do. To take a look every day at the reasons why I am doing this.
So, my reason for today is: I feel much better today than I did 4 months ago.
I'm on plan today because my parents are visiting on Labor Day. By the time they get here I will weigh less than BOTH my sisters! hahaha I know that sounds mean but really it isn't . I'm shorter than both of them and SHOULD weigh about 25 pounds less. I've NEVER weighed less than either one. Never, in my entire life. It will happen this month! That's why I'm on plan!
i just saw your before and after pics Robin.... you look amazing! What a difference!
Awww, thank you so much. But that wasn't my before and AFTER. Those were my before and current. I've since lost another 26 lbs. Eventually I will post some new ones. I hardly recognize myself in those "current" pics. Those last 20 something pounds have made a tremendous difference. Thank you again.
Ohhhh, let's see.....first off, I'M BACK after being out of town for almost 3 weeks, so I gotta work the plan to make it work for me! My main reason is still the same, I want those 140's!
The one reason why I'm staying on plan today is I'm determined to see major results before I go out of town at the end of this month! I'm too far in this to turn back now!
