I'm glad I have a sense of humor about these things...
DH and I visited his sister over the weekend and since she lives in a one-bedroom, we brought along an air mattress to sleep on. DH is pretty built (6'3") and pretty muscular, so for the entire 4 years we have been together, he has always weighed more than me, topping out at somewhere around 220lbs but recently since he began mountain biking, dropped quickly to somewhere in the 200-205lb range. Actually it makes me kind of sick how quickly he lost the weight. But anyway...
When DH and I met, I weighed somewhere around 130 but as you can see by my ticker, that's no longer the case.
Anyway, we got the air mattress inflated and started to settle down for the night when we both hopped on. After getting comfy, DH said "There MUST be something wrong with this mattress! I keep falling towards you and I shouldn't be sinking...you're the one who always falls towards me on these things!" Because, you know, when you weigh 135 and your husband is 220, obviously he's going to put a bigger dent in the air mattress than you will.
I was MORTIFIED when I realized it was because we weighed the same! My DH is 11 inches taller than me and we had officially reached the same weight. DH even went on to say (totally oblivious) "I weigh a TON more than you, there must be a hole or something weird going on with the mattress..." Um, yeah, DH..you don't weigh a TON more than me anymore... poor guy probably still only thinks I gained 20lbs or so. Ha!
