Default Holiday Ornament Exchange...

So for the oldbies, remember Lori organized an ornament exchange for us last year? I was hoping that we can do it again this year. I know it's early, but she started around this time with the initial thread.

For the newbies, last year we had a wonderful chick who took it upon herself to organize an secret ornament buddy exchange. We all sent her our address and she gave it a secret buddy and we all sent our ornaments within a two week period. We all opened them on a specified day a few weeks before Christmas and posted for everyone else what we got. It was a lot of fun, and it added a really special ornament to our trees.

The ornaments didn't have to be expensive. We all let the person know what our tree decor was, or special colors or interests so our buddy could choose something that matched if they wanted. The ornaments could be hand made or bought, and cost from less than a dollar to whatever.

I would love to do this again. Would you guys want to participate?

oh I love it! When I was pregnant with my last baby, I was on a thread like this and everybody on there was due in april of 2000, it was so much fun to be chatting with people who were going through the same things all the way through, we all were there when we found out we were pregnant, when we had sonagrams and found out the sex, and supported each other the same like we do here, anyway.... we had a cyper baby shower , same way, we exchanged names and then we all openned our presents on the same day and had our Shower. the girl who had my name sent me a wonderful package. and then her baby was born with a problem and died soon after birth..... it was so sad............. sorry .....rambling. but I am just trying to point out how fun it was and memorable!

Heck--why not? I've already brightened someone's Christmas with my "chick's to the finish" donation--lol. Really--it was a lot of fun last year.

I'll play too. I do this on another board I belong to and I've gotten (and given) some really neat ornaments.

I honestly did put a lot of time and thought into Katie's surprise (and forgive me Katie) but not very much money. But as you can see, I'm still reaping the joy of knowing it blessed her and hopefully still does! - Can't put a dollar sign on that!
Katie - You are so precious!!!
Cassi - Count me in - I wouldn't miss it!

Don't worry, I'll remind you all. Just wanted to get a preliminary feel for if anyone wanted to do it.

And Kristen - wouldn't it be funny if Nicole received like 10 sclaes???
