Sorry so late, I am still recovering from my trip to Orlando. Disney doesn't tell you anything you need to know, like you need 3 hours to get from a Disney Resort to the airport & the TSA wants you to have another 2 hours to get through security. I only had 2.5 hours, so I had to call a cab for a LOT of money. Also you need reservations at their restaurants even if you are a guest at the Resort. In conclusion, make sure you have extra time.
Also on my way out of Billy Mitchell (our airport) I always grab some of the Ziploc bags they have for you to use for your liquids, so I can just pack those at home & zip through the airport on my next trip.
WHEW! Ok then! Moving on. It is my goal this week to exercise on the weekend, not just power-clean my apt. Wish me luck!!
Monday: 10 min walk
Tuesday: 15 min walk
another 15 min walk
Wednesday: I had a tiny piece of broken glass in my foot, followed by a sliver. I did not walk today, but I will tomorrow.
Thursday: 15 min walk
15 min walk
Friday: 15 min walk
Saturday: 2 mile walk

My exercise plan is like this:
Monday:
30 minutes on elliptical, 14 on sit ups, leg exercises, and 14 minutes of free weight lifting
At night DD and I walked around the neighborhood for 20 minutes
Teusday: 30 minutes on elliptical, 14 of general exercises and 14 minutes of free weight lifting
Wednesday should be more of the same
Thursday '''''' '' '' '' ''
Friday '' '' '' '' '' ''
Well this week on exercise menu, just as last week I have been doing
15 min Elliptical
10-15 Bike
Then some free weights for the arms
And then some machines for thighs and legs
Then I finish her up with 50 crunches for the ab's....
I've decided to do two workouts a few days a week, since I'm off for the summer and actually have the time. I'm hoping the extra exercise will help me get these last 11 pounds off so I can reach my goal!
Well, I've done 25 minutes of weight training and I'm trying to talk myself into climbing onto my elliptical for the first time in 2 weeks (vacation - not lazy ) and see how it goes. However, it seems like I'm going to need a major kick in the pants to get it done!!!
I ran 3.1 miles in 31:45 on the treadmill today. I was supposed to do a cardio kickboxing class at the gym too, but my friend bailed on me and I didn't want to go alone. Also, my legs are really sore right now and I'm supposed to run 9 miles tomorrow. I really don't see it happening... but I figured I should rest them a little tonight!
Monday: kayaking around beautiful Orcas Island in Washington State
Tuesday: nothing--travel day
Wednesday: 40 min. run and almost 3 hours of kayaking
Thursday: 40 min. elliptical, 35 min. weight lifting, 25 min. stretching
Friday: 35 min. elliptical, 15 min. stationary bike, 30 min. weight lifting, 10 min. stretching
Saturday: 15 min. walk pushing my Dad in a wheelchair
Sunday: 35 min. run, bark dust shoveling
Wow, Lisa! And you're always talking about how slow you run! Now I'm worried. I'm a SERIOUS plodder!
No no no! That was my "fast" run. Once a week I do 3.1 miles on a treadmill and I do intervals at speeds that I can't keep up for long...so I average out at a much faster pace than I normally do. When I do a normal run, it's MUCH slower!
Oh, and I forgot to add that I did 25 minutes of yoga today too! Lots of cool warrior pose stuff -- woohoo!
Okay! I'm inspired. I have been walking every night and interspersing some running with it. At first, I could not run a block, but I'm running farther and farther each night, and I'm running more often. (Still with the cheap shoes, though - I'm fat enough that I can wait to get better ones, right?) So tonight, I am going to the high school track and I WILL RUN 1/2 mile all in a row. It will be hard, but with the music pounding in my ears and my 11-year-old son making fun of me for running so much slower than he does, I will do it!
