Default Crazy food combinations? What's your favorite?

I just tried a new one today - I took a weight watchers frozen meal (240 calories or so) and added a 100 calorie bag of popcorn to it. It filled me up plus it was yummy! Do you have a crazy food combination that works for you?

What was the meal that you mixed the popcorn into? (I am imagining pasta with popcorn mixed in ).

I like peanut butter sandwiches with sliced sour pickles.

I think that pretty much many of my food combinations are strange to some people.

I eat cauliflower almost every single day for lunch. I usually have it with a Morning Star Farms Chick Pattie or Morning Star Farms Spicy Bean burger. But every now and then I will eat it alongside a plain can of tuna fish.

Sardine and onion sandwiches on rye. These were a favorite of my grandfathers. I love them, but I rarely eat them these days.

Before my lifestyle change...

McD's french fries dipped in Oreo McFlurry

And I wonder how I got so overweight! LMBO

My new favorite...

Fat free, sugar free Apple Cinnamon Yogurt with 2 Tbsp dry roasted peanuts

Both of these above combinations have the same result...something crunchy and salty with something sweet and creamy...mmmm

I'm having the yogurt and peanuts as part of my lunch today

Cheers, Tamara

I don't know if I would like that, but my combination that I grew up on sounds just as odd.....Liverwurst (Braunschweiger) and pickle relish sandwiches. I love them!! But they're awfully high in fat, so that are a once a year type treat now.

I can't think of any myself but, I must say, one that I had never heard of before coming here to 3FC and reading you guys was peanut butter on apple slices. I don't know anybody who does that but you! Is that a dieting thing, a regional thing, what? Where did that come from?

That actually sounds pretty good!

And I too love ketchup on potato chips.

I can't really think of anything really weird right now. I'm sure I have them, though!

Before the lifestyle change, it was:
french fries dipped in applesauce
macaroni and cheese with tuna
cincinatti chili (if you've not heard of it, it's a sort of weird chili with chocolate and cinnamon in it and it's served over pasta with cheese...yummy!)
cheeseburger with some peanut butter on it (better than it sounds!)

That's what I can think of. Since my lifestyle change, I don't really have anything weird so far that I can think of.

Well, as far as things that I don't really eat anymore:

-Sandwich made with just tomato, extra mayo and salt and pepper
-Bagel and cream cheese with any type of chips/popcorn on top (I also put any type of chips or popcorn inside all my sandwiches!)
-chips (any flavor) dipped in ketchup
-breakfast sausage or bacon dipped in ketchup
-pancakes with peanut butter and syrup
-Hotdog with cheese, mayo, bacon and raw onion on top
-warm chocolate cake with melted butter on top instead of frosting

I can't really think of anything weird that I eat right now, although I do put Franks Red Hot Sauce on everything and some of the stuff I put it on people think are a little strange! lol

It's interesting that most of our "weird" stuff is high fat/calorie and pre-"diet."

It was the pecan chicken with snap pea pods. I just mixed it right in!
