Question Anyone try that lemon cheesecake ???

Ok I am soooo needing a good dessert to bring to a party.

My MIL is having her anniversary party and then a after party as well. the second party is really not a party just immidiate family and some close friends to have a bite to eat at my SIL restuarant. well we all have to bring a flipping dessert and then to top it off she said , If she has cake left from the first party of 400 people then she does not want my dessert or anyone elses so she can get rid of the cake.

So I want to make something I can eat should I get to bring it home.

Anyone have any suggestions ? I thought of that cheesecake. Part of me wants to buy some premade brownies and bring that and leave it out anyhow.

Hi Steph,

Not sure which cheesecake you are talking about, but that book that I emailed to you has lots of recipes that sound yummy. Cheesecake is always a great choice, or how about chocolate dipped strawberries.

I have a recipe for a cheesecake that you mix lemon jello in with the cream cheese and whipped cream (its not LAWL friendly) then I make a fruit topping - I usually do strawberries or saskatoons - or blueberries. It is fabulous.

I am sure whatever choice you make, it will be good and get all ate up, and there won't be leftovers anyway.

The Weight Watchers cake can be made up as pretty as you need and it's really easy.

Any box cake mix
1 12oz diet cherry 7-up
Mix only those 2 ingredients and bake according to box

Frost with FF cool whip, decorate with fresh fruit

Then at least if you are stuck with it you can actually eat some.

If I have to take a dessert, I like to make a trifle. Buy a FF angel food cake and cut it up into cubes. Mix up a large box of SF vanilla pudding with skim milk. Layer the cake, then pudding, then berries of your choice, then FF cool whip, then repeat all 4 layers. I bought a really pretty trifle dish for about 10 bucks. It is pretty darn healthy, and no one ever knows that it is diet.

Katie--that's a great idea--I think I will make that for the 4th with strawberries and blueberries and cool whip for the patriotic effect. Pretty and healthy--love it!

I usually make a trifle also. I use angel food cake, sugar free white chocolate pudding, raspberries or strawberries, and fat free cool whip. Sometimes I sprinkle a little baking cocoa in between some of the layers to give it more color and then I decorate the top with some of the left over berries. This is always a hit!
