Default few pounds in a couple days?

I just recently got back on the wagon with exercising and eating right when I noticed the scale had gone back up to . So now it's been about a week and I've lost five pounds. I know that losing 2 lbs per week is normal. Is my body just getting rid of some water weight, is that why I lost five pounds instead of two? I'm trying to eat between 1300-1500 calories per day and exercise, so I think I'm doing it right..... any help?

If you have been drinking a lot of water now and you weren't previously, it could be water weight. A lot of people who start or re-start will lose water weight in their first week. I would wait a couple of weeks. If your losses are still high, then you could increase your caloric intake.

it could be waterweight.. but also, when u start dieting seriously(again).. the first weeks, most of the time.. you lose a bit more pounds... and the longer u diet the less pounds go off in the same period of time.
