Question My first time....

eating out on the program - I have been on the program for about 2 weeks and my co-workers are all going out for Chinese tomorrow - any suggestions on what I should order?? I am on the gold plan - and don't know what I should order, but it won't be the sesame chicken! Thanks in advance!

Try to order something that doesn't have a lot of sauce, or try to order something with sauce on the side.. They may also have a "diet" menu like a couple places here in ABQ do... Are you going to a local place or a chain, like Panda Express?

You might also want to ask if they have any low-sodium soy sauce..

If you're going to a buffet, obviously stay away from the heavily sauced foods and/or try to grab food off the top, where the sauce is lighter...

I've been thinking about Chinese for dinner and just asking them to make my kung bao chicken with the sauce on the side...

I like chicken lettuce wraps(spicey). My COD said that was a good choice but it's still cooked in soy sauce and heaven knows what else.

Yeah, Chinese is probably the hardest thing to eat while on plan, but it can be done. Brown rice and veggies would be a good bet if they'll do that for you. Obviously stay away from fried things and saucy things...down the water like nobody's business, and hot lemon water yourself when you get home!

If your restaurant has a hibache grill, you can do that. Our local buffet has one and it's a lifesaver for me since my DH would live at the chinese buffet if he could

Diddo!!!

Gotta have my Chinese EVERY Saturday!!! I can't live without!! I used to joke with my co-worker that my blood pressure goes low if I don't get some rice in... They just thought I was being funny.... Then LAWL came along, and I haven't had Chinese for like 2-3 weeks, and oh boy.... Did I crave in?!!! So, now I know, gotta get some... in moderation.....
