Hello! I am Jess from Ohio and I am on day 1 of the Fat Smash Diet. I have never tried a true commercialized "diet" before, but I'm excited to start this one. Two years ago I lost 40 pounds by just eating healthier and working out on the treadmill. Since then, I have gained that back + 20 pounds. So I am currently at my highest weight ever, which is scary. But looking at that number now just fuels me to push forward and make sure that it will be the last time at that weight. I have a very long journey and I'm just starting, but I love the level of support on this website and I hope to find a few diet buddies along the way. Good luck to everyone!

It sounds like you've got a great attitude by not letting the numbers get you down, but by actually using it to get you motivated. That's a step in the right direction if I've ever heard one. I really felt the same way. I didn't let the numbers frighten me. I knew if I really stuck to my plan that the weight would indeed come off. I knew that other people had lost lots of weight, so I knew that I too could lose lots of weight.

Welcome - you have found a great place for advice and encouragement! A small piece of advice from myself...keep your ticker updated - it can be a great motivator (or, more like in my case right now...a sad reality check!)!
