Question I am down 11 pds since I began weighing myself, am I going to fast??

I started weighing Last Sunday and in these 11 days I have lost 11 pds, I feel great, but am worried I am going to fast. I don't want to loose fast then not loose anything. A couple of things to know about my eating, I don't eat meat, or poultry, I eat fish a few times a week. A typical meal for me is this:
Bkst: 6 oz of grapefruit juice, Bowl of Special K cereal with berries, and I will add a small banana, or some fresh berries to that. Lunch is usually 2 veggie burgers, no bread, with fat free sourcream, salsa, some pickled onions, some salad, and some sun chips on the side( if I have them), Snack is fruit, and some rice cakes. Dinner tonight is going to be a bowl of Black bean soup( this is home made, not fat), with some corn tortillas( 2), FF sour cream, and hot sauce. I also exercise for 40-45 minutes a day for 5 days.
Am I doing ok? should I take it slower? Tia Cheryl

A couple things to consider! Most of us lose fast at the beginning of our weight loss journey! Have you increased water intake? If so this could be most of it. We usually lose water weight in the beginning. When it does slow down and trust me it will remember to take it 1-2 lbs each week and do not get frustrated that you are not seeing the same results from the beginning!

I didn't add up your calories, so I don't know exactly how many you are eating. Have you been tracking them? If not maybe you should to just get an idea of how many you are eating, this way you will no how to adjust when the time comes.

I wouldn't worry about 11 lbs in 11 days in the beginning. Of course 2 weeks from now if you're still losing at that speed, which is HIGHLY unlikely, then it might be time to change things a bit. When you start out a higher weight and embark on a weightlosss program that is to be expected the first few weeks. I had a 9 lb week, week number 3 I believe it was. The 1 -2 average that most people recommend is usually not for a morbidly obese person. The averages can be much higher for us. Oh the advantages of being obese, I always say.

My calorie intake daily is between 1500-1700 , usually nearer to 1700. tia for the great advice, I appreciate it so much, and I will try not to be dissapointed when I only loose 2 lbs in a week

I think 1700 is a great place to start.

I don't want yo to be disappointed when you lose 1 pound or 1/2 pound or nothing. Because it's bound to happen. It's a long journey we're on and even if we're consistient, our bodies AREN'T.
