Pumpkin and brown rice pancakes

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup brown rice, cooked
1 cup buttermilk
4 egg whites
1 teaspoon oil
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup pumpkin puree -- fresh or canned, cooked
1/3 cup apple juice
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground clove
In a small bown combine rice, buttermilk, egg whites, oil, honey, pumpkin and apple juice.
Sift remaining ingredients in a second bowl. Add ingredients from first bowl, mixing until just blended.
Drop batter by the spoonful onto preheated griddle. Cook until bubbles appear, then flip and cook other side until lightly browned
