Good morning and Happy May Day! I started my day off with the 3 mile Express workout followed by 5 minutes at a brisk pace on the treadmill! It's going to be a GORGEOUS day and I'm going to take full advantage of it tonight! The entire family is supposed to be home, so maybe we'll go for a family walk!!

Have a great day!

Michele

Yesterday the pool was up to 72 degrees (maybe just a hair short of that) yesterday and I dove in!!!! I swam in my pool in april. Now, May may be another story. I swam a quarter mile. This morning I walked 1.4 miles on the treadmill and jogged .6. Today being the first of the month meant it was time to increase the jogging. I'm raising it .1 mile every month. I'll be pretty excited when I reach 1 mile of real running. The WATP jogging is exercise but not nearly as hard. Not even close. So I've decided that May is treadmill/road walking month. So i'll be walking but not much WATP. That'll be a treat every now and again. I think I've hit a plateau with the tapes. Sad yet true - I do love WATP and just need it harder.

This morning I did the first mile of the 2 mile high calorie burn, and later tonight I'm going to do the 1 mile get up and get started with the 2 pound weights. Well since it's a new month, I think I'll set my goal for May at 50 miles, whether it's WATP or walking up at the park.

Iris ~~ I know you can do it!! I was just starting out with WATP the first of April and I set my goal for 45 miles and I ended up doing 47 miles. It's amazing how fast they add up!

Hi. I did the 30 min WATP with my sister in law after work. I let her borrow it but she hadn't even tried it yet. I think I like it better than the 2 mile express. It has more upper body.

I have yet another question about Leslie's workouts. The 1/2 mile 3/4 mile and 5 mile all have the same workouts. The 5 mile one is just 1 of the others put together in 1 mile segments.

Are the Walk Slims and Walk N Tone ones the same? I mean, why buy another one if it is the same routine that is on my other 3 dvds.

TIA

mare, the Walk Slim is not the same workout between any of the DVDs. The 1 and 2 mile are different workouts than the 3 mile fast walk and the 4 mile interval is a totally separate group from the 1/2 mile DVD. I think it was worth the investment.

I did 1.4 miles walking and .6 miles jogging on the treadmill again this morning. I really like my new treadmill and I'm currently in an obsession with audiobooks - so during the workout I finished one and started on another. I finished Ransom by Danielle Steele (not my favorite author as her point of view is all over the place and she writes flowery) but that book was actually very good and I enjoyed it. Now I'm listening to How to Get Rid of Matthew. So far so-so but I'm only about an hour into it.

I do the 1 mile in the morning after I get up to wake up instead of coffee or soda or tea. It's usually all I have time for before work. I haven't had caffeine in over a week and I have more energy in the morning now than I did before.
I did the 1 mile express this morning to warm up and then did my Denise Austin Personal Trainer DVD. I bought it awhile ago but really didn't use it. I need the toning that it has.

Tonight I did the 2 mile high calorie burn. I was gone all day taking my sister to the surgeon's office for another procedure.
