Question What do you eat on your air popped corn?

I'm getting tired of butter spray and parmesian cheese.
I can afford some extra fat right now, so I was wondering, what if I melted peanut butter and poured it over?

Peanut butter and jelly melted and poured?
Cinnamon Sugar and butter spray?

Sigh....can you tell I'm sick of spray and parm?
Give me some new ideas, please?
Not too much sodium either.

Personally I like my popcorn plain, but my co-workers really like BBQ seasoning on their popcorn (like Papy's or Suzy Q.) I think they have low-sodium versions. I think any finely ground spice mixture would work well.

I think this is because I'm craving chocolate, but I wonder how hot chocolate mix would taste on popcorn? Honestly, I'll try chocolate with anything at least once.

Dry popcorn?
Blech! Ich! Ptooey!

oops, sorry for spitting on your popcorn Notmikewhodoesnotsurf.
lol

The only problem with powder stuff is the same problem I'm having with the spray butter.
Nothing sticks to it!
You end up with 2 tbls of parm cheese at the bottom of the bowl!

sounds kinda weird, but soemtimes a drizzle of balsamic vinegar is nice on popcorn.

Generally, I don't eat popcorn (crohn's lol) but when I did I would either use becel spray and seasoning or melt a tbsp of becel light and add seasoning and toss..sour cream and onion, ketchup, all dressed, dill pickle, white cheddar..

You could try a sweet topping, like to melt a T or 2 of becel light, add bit of cinnamon and granular splenda, and toss with the popcorn!

margarine in a tub, that's trans fat free, I blv saturated fat free, etc. Its healthy and a really tasty tub margarine,
If you don't have becel in your area, look for a tub margarine (light) low in cals, trans fat free, no hydrogenation> ? etc..lol

Ooooo... I'm going to have to try that! I wonder if a drizzle of maple syrup would be good too?

I just heard this one at my WW meeting. Take one 100 calorie pack chocolate Chex mix and shake it all together right after the popcorn is popped and still hot. The chocolate bits will melt and coat the popcorn, good for a low cal but seemingly indulgent treat.

ok, I had the fat cals avail tonight, so I tried butter and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp sugar.
It was just ok. I crave salty tastes not sugary, so this was too sweet to me.
I could cut the sugar to 1/2 but still, just not my taste.
It did taste like cinnamon toast crunch though, specially the stuff at the bottom of the bowl.

Tommorrow I just might have to try the PB & J melted and poured.
Who knows, it might me fantastic?

Hmm.....curry sounds good too tho.
Peanut butter and curry??

It sounds like you want something sweet, so I like Splenda and cinnamon...it's almost TB Cinnamon Twists...but what I REALLY like on my popcorn is spray butter with Cavender's Greek Seasoning (its yellow/red/white label, I got mine at WalMart) My SIL and her kids introduced me to it and even her kids like it.

I didn't know what becel was either. I can't wait to try some of these, esp the PB&J !

Peanut butter and curry should work together just fine. I make a spicy peanut sauce that is really good; so it makes sense that curry would be good.

Well, my suggestion is probably boring, but I do the butter spray and cheddar cheese-flavored popcorn sprinkles. Or just plain salt. That's really all I like on my popcorn. If you want a slightly sweet, like a kettle corn flavor, sprinkle a little Equal or Splenda (not too much) at the same time using salt and butter spray.

My mom makes a mean Nasi Goreng that she serves with Sate babi with peanut sauce.
I would sell my husband* if I could find a snack that was healthy, low cal AND taste as good as her Indonesian food!

*pssst! Can I buy him back or at least rent him when the garbage needs taking out?
