Default RMMs

Otherwise known as Randomly Motivated (or Motivational) Moments.

Like times when you put your hands on your hips and suddenly realize they're either a lot closer together than they used to be or you can feel some bone under there now or you WANT either of the above, out of nowhere. Or just other random moments where you get a blast of energy and you're saying "I'm SO going to the gym tomorrow! I'm motivated all over again! And energized!" etc.

I had one this afternoon and I've been chasing it like a dog chasing its tail all day. Trying to figure out why/where it came from/how I can trigger that again the next time I need it.

Anyone else get these?

Last night, after dinner, I was hungry. I was going to get some jelly beans. I thought I could spare 160 calories, even though they're empty. As I was making my lunch for the next day, something triggered in my head and I opted for a yogurt instead. I felt satisfied and motivated because I actually made a good choice. I still feel motivated by that.

I wake up hungry, which can mean that I didn't binge the night before. That makes my whole day go better.

It also really inspires me to eat better if I have a healthy breakfast.

I swear I must lose weight as I sleep, because sometimes when I wake up in the morning my body feels thinner. I notice it lying in bed and when I get up. Usually when this happens, there is a drop on the scale as well.

I have those burst of energy feeling where I can't wait to get to the gym at around 3pm in the afternoon. But sitting at a desk can be very frustrating because it really makes the body feel bored and sluggish. By the time 5:30 gets here, I have to find my motivation again to go to the gym. I just want to go home. But 4 days a week, i manage to convince myself I'd really rather go to the gym.
