Is running for an hour a day 6 days a week too much?
Is it realistic for me to loose 14lbs in 8 weeks?

It depends what your goals are, but I'm marathon training and I rarely run 6 hours per week. Doing the same workout every day isn't necessarily the best plan either, if you mix it up you will be working different parts of your body, for example. At the very least interval training where you work at different intensities would help, but some strength training is always a good idea rather than all cardio.

As for your weight loss goal, it looks a bit optimistic for me if those are the last 14lb, but you never know.

An hour a day 6 days a week is around 36 miles a week. That's not crazy but it is a lot.

Most mainstream advice is not to add more than 10% to your total distance each week. Have you built up your mileage gradually?
