Default Can we please get rid of all those low slung trousers in the shops??

I admit I never try on clothes. The last 3 pairs of trousers I bought were that low slung show all your belly style - fine if you are a pregnant bean pole but if you are a generous size 18 with a non-pregnant pregnant tum and most of the tops won't hide the bulge it is an awful look!!!

I like my jeans SLIGHTLY under my waist (because my hips and my waist are out of proportion with each other) but this latest fashion is just blummin uncomfortable and ugly.

I also think that it should be a flogable offence for manufacturers to put the wrong inside leg measurement on jeans - I recently bought a pair of lovely jeans from the Monsoon shop at Freeport but the inside leg was an inch and a half longer than it should have been.

Definitely ban them
I've got enough problems without displaying builder's bumcrack and MOD knickers to all and sundery every time I bend over!

I saw a picture of Victoria Beckham in a pair of high waisted trousers - they had a wide waistband and a slightly gathered front which looks fine on someone whose front is as flat as hers is but would look pretty awful on anyone with a tummy.

i just bought myself a baby doll top, which is perfect for those of us with a tummy. everyone who has seen me wear it says how slim it makes me look. completely hides my stomach. mad

I love tunic style tops... gather under the chest and completely skim the love handles/spare tyre!

Clothes in general need to be standardised though. Places either only do one length in trousers, or their sizes are out... there's always something wrong! I'm hardly the tallest person in the world but trousers that max out at 32" length look ridiculous on me

And I hate low rise trousers, to get back on topic. All my weight is around my middle, so although they fit me fine on my legs, they give me a horrendous muffin top. SO not attractive!

I am not keen on anything low slung. I still have a tummy. I am always told I look tiny when I wear jeans which always makes me smile. I think this is because I have very slim legs and narrow hips. My tummy is safely tucked in my knickers!! Nice.

I just bought a tunicy style top from Next and I am not sure about it.
