HI tracy , hey all newbies!

Tracy - are you trying any particular diet or just cutting down/counting calories? You will find we are all doing different things, different ways of losing weight so should get some support from at least a few memembers on the board -well support from all of us really but more advice from someone doing the same thing I mean.

Welcome Tracy You've started exactly where I did in Janurary although you've got a few inches on me. Weight and build is such a funny thing. I'd've thought at your height and weight you'd be a 10/12 not a 14/16.

Anyway, jump in. I've wandered about half-heartedly too but this place has kept me largely on track and I'm 10lbs lighter suddenly.

hi again everyone, well day one complete with great success! stuck to my diet to the letter and had a nice early night to avoid any late night munchies (my main downfall!) I am just trying to eat a low fat diet, not counting calories or points or anything, yesterdays food intake was:

1 Apple
Mushroom Cup a Soup
Mexican cheese salad with low fat caesar dressing
Low fat Fruit of the forest yoghurt
1 Ryvita with low fat cheese spread
1 Plum
Jacket Potato with Pork and mushrooms in a low fat chicken tonight sauce, steamed broccoli and asparagus
Packet of Seasons Crisps

Yeah what doughnut said! I think I'd be a 12 at your weight

What sort of exercise to you do? You might want to try getting into weights - they will slim you right down without the need for cutting back on food too drastically. Check out www.stumptuous.com and click on "Iron"

and welcome to 3FC

Only just joined a gym (normally a couch potato of the worst kind!) I am trying to go 3 times a week and just doing cardio at the moment - one hour each time, usually 20 mins treadmill, 20 mins cross trainer, 10 mins rowing machine and 10 on the bike, have only been going for 2 weeks and finding it hard already!!!!
