Lisa - congratulations on the loss. Yes, you are very close as far as the BMI and Onederland and I know you will meet both those goals soon! I hope you are feeling better too.

Jaime - Welcome! I think 3 pounds over 2 weeks is awesome! I hope you did OK this past week with the ice storm. My (new) school district wasn't closed either day (and it seems they don't have delayed openings). The commute was a little tense but everything worked out OK. My yoga class was cancelled which was too bad but Wed evening it really wasn't safe to be on the road. I got some cards and lolly pops which aren't a temptation to me. I hope you did OK with the chocolate.

Dori - welcome! That's great that you lost - it just shows you that you have started incorporating some good habits into your lifestyle.

I weighed in with a 0.6 pound loss - a decent loss but I was expecting to see a bit more. I think a number of things contributed to it. First, (as my leader pointed out when we discussed it) the medication I'm taking (the inhaler) has steroids which hurts weight loss. Second, I got up too late for my early meeting and too early for the later meeting so I ended up having a cup of coffee before I left. I always weigh myself at home before I go to the meeting and the weight before the cup of coffee showed more than a 0.6 loss. Oh well, it will come off. In the meantime, I started doing my (short) morning yoga routine again and for the last two days, even did a short cardio/weights workout, although I took it pretty easy. My eating has been OK. Saturday we went out to dinner with friends to one of Lidia Bastianich's (TV chef) restaurant). I had planned to have fish but when I got there, I just couldn't help it. I haven't had osso bucco is soooo long and I splurged. I counted everything though and while I used more flex points than I would have liked, it was a treat, both the company and the food.

The challenge of the week starts today. We are headed down to AC, meeting dear friends for an (early) birthday celebration for me. AC is usually only a challenge for me on the alcohol front; one evening we'll eat at the steak place (lean steak, baked potato & veg, stay away from the breadbasket) and the other at the Italian place (fish, stay away from the bread basket). I had hoped when we planned this little trip that they would have already enforced the "no smoking in 75% of the casino" law but it's not required until April. I don't know how much of the casino floor I'll be able to take having just had the bronchitis/asthma complication so I am arming myself with books, yoga tapes, knitting and movie watching in the room, just to be sure.

Have a great one!
Judy

Judy - Good job on the loss! Wow! Osso bucco - What a treat. I would love to try it sometime. Sounds like you are really preparing yourself for this challenge ahead. You should do well. Hoping the smoke in the casino won't be too terrible on you.

I lost 1.4lb this week. I'm sooooo close to my first 20lbs (19.4) and sooo close to getting under 270 (270.6)! Next week I'll get there!

I think this may be the beginning of my PMS week so I am trying to prepare for that. So staying w/i my points for the day will be my biggest challenge. And and I really wanting to start excercising this week. (I'm one of those who has to EASE my way into it. LOL!)

HI, Jenny here, I'm so up and down with the weight, but I have figured water retension is a part of it. I am fluctuating so much, but the overall progress isn't budging. I am staying away from alcohol, which I consumed just about each friday night(over indulged). I have kept very good track of my food also, and with treadmill uphill 25minutes or more 4-5+ days per week, with some stair stepping, and some biking inbetween..I am in a rut. I was sick all last week, so I didn't go to the gym at all. So, technically, I am in my 3rd week of good cardiovascular exercising. Is it really possible, that my metabolism is stuck in such a rut, it may take a few more weeks to see the scale move? I have not noticed the pants getting any looser..I have kept a weight diary, and in Jan, on the 7th is when I started that, at 181 first weigh in....not today, weigh in at 183.6. If anyone has some advise, if it took them awhile to move their scale with exercise, let me know, because this is getting hopeless..I'm not giving up tho, not yet..I will always eat WW style and exercise..it is making me feel good, as long as I don't get down on myself!

Judy - good job on the 0.6 loss and have fun with your early birthday celebration!

InHisImage - congrats on losing 1.4! You're doing great!

Jenny - stick with it. Our bodies are crazy things, and they love to get stuck for no reason. It's annoying, but it happens. As long as you know you're sticking to your plan and getting your exercise in, give it another week or two before making any changes.

I lost one pound again this week. I was hoping for more, since I really stuck to my points and I ran a LOT, but I'll take a pound. I just can't wait to get under 200, so I was hoping it would happen faster!

Hi everyone! I haven't posted in a couple of weeks, I had a rough patch dietwise and didn't have any progress to talk about. I did finally break out of it and was down 2.5 pounds this week.

Lisa - Congratulations on your losses, you'll be in ONEderland in no time.

Marcia and Judy, congrats as well.

Have a great week everyone!
