Question Feddback? - Have you ever tried these?

I found a webpage that shows a system for reversing PCOS. Has anyone used this approach/products before? If so what are your overall thoughts?

Also has anyone used the diet pill (dealing with insulin resistance) "Gluccomannan" If so, do you recommend it?

Hi, welcome to 3fc

The topic of Insulite had come up a few times in the past. We've had several members inquire about it, but no one has ever said it worked. I looked over their material some time back and came to the conclusion that it should be avoided. I felt that there was not sufficient evidence to show it would work as they claimed. I felt that it was similar to other areas in the supplement industry where they may have been cashing in on a sensitive and personal condition where we may be more vulnerable to such claims. Products like that are not subject to FDA approval, so the companies can and do make claims that are not substantiated.

Have you seen a specialist? I would suggest speaking to your doctor for advice, and not purchase anything like Insulite, especially without having your doctor review the ingredients and any studies.

Glucomannan is a type of fiber. I'm aware of one study that showed it stabilize blood sugar. If you decide to take it, be careful with quantities, because it is a laxative. Drink plenty of water because if a pill gets lodged in your throat, it could swell and cause an obstruction. If you take it before a meal, with plenty of water, it can swell in your stomach and possibly help you to eat less since you will feel more full. If you eat less, you will lose weight. This may sound backward, but losing weight is a treatment for PCOS and insulin resistance.

Good luck
