Default The "new craze"?

I've been doing a little research on (drumroll....): pole dancing! As of last year it's supposed to be getting really big for a new fun way to exercise. One of the things that attracts me is that it requires a lot of upperbody strength, which in my occupation I really need to develop more of. I was just wondering what anyone else has heard, tried, etc. TIA

Oh, I've done tons of research. I guess I was looking for personal experiences. I've narrowed my pole search down to two brands, and also two beginner videos. My biggest worry is that I might get frustrated at the length of time it may actually take me to get UP the pole, but if something "different" can get me to exercise and have fun at the same time, why not?

I did see a segment with a *famous* person learning a routine (Star Jones?), it might have been on E channel, HBO after dark? can't remember it was a few months ago. by the end of the show (and many falls on her rear) she was able to swing around the pole. I hear it takes a lot of upper body and core strength to "work the pole"....

I also read somewhere that it is a very *hot* workout for Paris Hilton (snort)
