I'm having a terrible time getting myself back together after being so sick last week. At least I'm able to eat more than ice cream now. Anyway, today was not a good whole foods day, but I need to get back to accountability, so here it is.

B1-great big banana (pre-run)
B2-cheerios w/ soymilk, OJ, coffee w/ milk (post-run)
S-Kashi bar
S-nf plain yogurt w/ added homemade pumpkin butter
L-homemade lasagna (big piece), orange, dark chocolate
S-4 c popcorn
S-2 c green grapes
S-carrots
S-candy: 4 hard candies, 2 mini candy bars (260 cal total here)
S-dark chocolate, 1 slice leftover French bread
D-(finally) pizza, 2 slices combo on thin crust, 1 slice cheese; 2 strips cinnabread (dessert pizza), dark chocolate

I've been extremely hungry this week. I'm hoping my body is using energy to fight off the strep, but my weight is up too since starting the antibiotics. Just trying to better fast, run my half marathon on Sunday, and hope for the best.

Anne

Anne-Good luck on your marathon this weekend! That's a bummer you've been so sick with strep right before. Have you been running while you've been sick? If so, that's probably why your body needs the extra energy. I'd like to run a half marathon someday.

Today's menu: 1326 calories
40 minute hike with my dog

B: Smoothie: 1scoop soy protein powder, 1/2cup Citrus C Monster juice, 1/2cup lf kefir, 1tsp flaxseed oil, 1/2cup blueberries, 1/2cup raspberries

S: 1/2oz walnuts

L: 2 cups sauteed spinach w/1tsp olive oil, garlic, sundried tomatoes, sprinkled w/1/2oz goat cheese. 1/2 ww bagel w/1tblsp almond butter

S: dark chocolate (73 calories for 4 tiny squares of 70% Green&Black dark chocolate. Yuck. I won't buy it again. I like my Newman's dark orange chocolate even though it's probably not as high in cocoa%).

D: Crockpot chicken: 3oz chicken breast w/1/2cup salsa verde, 1/4 cup pinto beans, 1/2cup brown rice w/tomatoes. Raw veggies: few carrots, cauliflower, orange pepper, mushrooms.
