Default salt problem????

Anybody have problems with swollen fingers in the morning? Awhile back I noticed my fingers were swollen quite a bit in the mornings. Since then I have cut way back on my salt intake, but the swelling still happens. Any ideas??

Are you drinking enough water?

Do they hurt at all too? My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and having swollen hands in the morning is a symptom.

Ya, I drink about 8-10 oz's of water everyday. Most of that is in the evening. My fingers are stiff in the morning, sometimes to the point they can't grip anything for about 20 minutes. I wouldn't say painful, though. Maybe just another side effect of fat and age????

Next time you see your doctor, you may want to ask about whether it could be arthritis...

sounds like could be arthritis...osteo usually doesnt present with redness or swelling... see if you can get checked for rh.factor...some people with rheumatoid 'arthur' have this show up in a blood test (not all though). other autoimmune conditions may also involve swollen hands.

(not a doc here...just dealing with the same and more) do you ever have flu like symptoms with it? def worth checking out. then you can learn how to work around it.
take care!
