After you acknowledge what you have accomplished (see Celebration Inventory thread), you now put together your New Year's INTENTIONS, which emphasize the postiive. Rather than saying "I must lose 10 lbs," try "I would love to choose food that gives me the energy I deserve,". Appreciating yourself will help you be your own best ally in working toward success!!
Joni's INTENTIONS New Year’s INTENTIONS 2007

* lose these last 10 (now almost 13) lbs and maintain @ 135 - 139
* start making a dent in my library
* work on furniture plans + paintings/drawings
1- Continue with charitable and humanitarian efforts.
2- Get to goal and stay there.
3- Exercise more for my health.
4-Find a financial way to stay home with my kids. I am really ready to devote a lot more time to my home and family, with a sideline of humanitarian work.
Ladies, I wanted to add that part of getting what you want is putting it verbally to the universe. Take a look at your intentions and speak them out loud. However, do not say "I wish, I want, or I plan", instead say "I will".
In 2007 I intend to:
1. Remember my family comes before church and ministry. (Just say "no"!)
2. Continue to follow LAWL plan; (plan meals with more variety, make healthiest choices)
3. Incorporate exercise into my healthy lifestyle. (Treadmill, Ab lounger, Gazelle)
4. Find a way to assist DH with family income!
5. Revise cleaning schedule to incorporate everyone doing their share.
6. Strive for ONEderland by Christmas.
7. Strive to give as much support as I get on this site! (encourage, motivate, support, hug, and even... kick butt!). 8. NOT QUIT ANY OF THE ABOVE!!!
In 2007, I WILL...
1. Continue with LAWL until goal (and beyond!).
2. Celebrate daily how good it feels to be eating healthy and to be making good choices.
3. Get half my Masters degree coursework done.
4. Pay TWO credit cards off. (this might be a stretch, but I want to get it done!)
5. Take a family vacation...not yet sure where, but we didn't have one in 2006 at all.
6. Add exercise in some form to each day's activities.
7. Get comfortable riding the motorcycle on the highway.
8. Shine my sink once a week (*grin*).
9. Be a source of comfort and encouragement to all those around me.
10. Seek out used book stores and add to my Stephen King paperback collection...just 'cause that's something selfish that's just for me.
*Stick 100% with LAWL
*Try and exercise at least 3x a week
*Get better at my photography
*Scrapbook more, but not so much that it takes up my whole day like it did in the beginning of 2006
*Clean more!!
*Have more confidence in myself
*Pay down/off some credit cards
*Spend less money on stuff I don't need
