This comes to almost 3 pts for an 8 oz serving. A 6 or 7 oz. serving would be about 2 pts. This is not a WW recipe, just an old TNT creation.
Jane * Exported from MasterCook * Press Conference Punch -- 1 1/2 Recipe Recipe By :? Handed down and adapted by JaneStarr Serving Size : 72 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Beverages Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 138 fluid ounces Hawaiin Punch -- or Hi C --3 cans 96 fluid ounces Five Alive Juice -- 1 1/2 half-gal contatiners 18 ounces frozen mixed fruit -- unsweetened-- 1 1/2 bags 18 ounces frozen strawberries -- unsweetened-- 1 1/2 bags 3/4 gallon sherbet -- rainbow or other 1 1/2 gallons ginger ale -- 3- two liter bottles or seven up vodka -- to taste -- opt'l Stir together juices and frozen fruit in a large punch bowl. (I used two fairly large bowls and put half the ingredients into each bowl.) Spoon in the sherbet. (I used a mini- ice cream scoop for this.) Slowly pour in soda shortly before serving. If offering this punch to adults, you can put out vodka to be added to their portions as desired. Yield almost 4 1/2 gallons: 144 servings of 4 oz each or 72 8-oz servings. This punch was named "Press Conference Punch" by me because of the last time I made it. This was served to Nancy Johnson, our U.S. Congresswomen from CT when she held a "press conference" for the 5th graders at our elementary school. The Fifth graders really enjoyed it, and Congresswoman Johnson even had a second serving! This punch is very forgiving. This last time, I had the kids bring in the cans of punch and the bottles of soda. They were all different flavors and brands, needless to say. I brought in the Five Alive myself (because its citrus flavor really "makes" the flavor). It hasn't flopped yet, and it's never been made the same way twice. I have a punch recipe that everyone seems to love. It is also not a WW recipe & I have never figured out the points, but it is very easy & delicious.
Punch 1-12 oz can frozen concentrate lemonade (do not mix w/water, leave as a concentrate) 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1-12 oz can frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate (this you make up with 3 cans of water according to the directions on can) 2 quarts of lemon sour (Seagram's, Schweppes plus a couple of others make it, but I cannot find it in Madison, WI, where I live, so I have to buy elsewhere). Otherwise, you can use 50/50 or Squirt, but it's not nearly as good. Mix the sugar & lemonade concentrate in a punch bowl. Add the cranberry juice concentrate & mix that according to the directions. Add the 2 quarts of lemon sour. Add ice to chill and you're ready to enjoy! kt marie |

I make a WW Sangria that my friends and family love. I mix equal parts Hansen Diet Kiwi Strawberry soda (It is sweetened with splenda) and nice merlot (So about 6 oz of each) and then add ice, squeeze a little fresh orange slice into it and put an orange on the rim. Everyone always asks me for my Sangria recipe and I never tell them my secret. They request I bring it to parties all the time and they think it has a lot more ingredients. Another drink I like is one I got at a WW meeting for a 1 point margarita. I've listed for both a 1 point and 2 point margarita. The two-point version is really really large, my husband and I split it. It's too big for one person to drink before it starts melting too much. I use my Magic Bullet blender (That thing is great) and blend up a single one for 1 point when I need a treat.
2 point Margarita 1 can diet Sprite 1 oz (2 TBS) lime juice 1 ½ oz Tequila 1 tsp Crystal Light Lemonade Mix 1 cup ice Mix/ makes one large margarita 1 point Margarita 6 oz diet Sprite ½ oz (1 TBS) lime juice ¾ oz Tequila ½ tsp Crystal Light Lemonade Mix ½ cup ice. |
