Default How to avoid moving/blinking images

I've got neurological visual problems and I can't handle moving/blinking images, including some of the smilies, text written in a sparkly way and so forth. This means that a lot of threads are inaccessible to me because they're chock full of them. I'm accessing the site on an Android tablet in Mobile mode, using Chrome mobile as a browser. Is there any way to make these images not show up? In the past, when using Firefox on a laptop, I could individually block them, but I don't know how to do that on a tablet. It doesn't work in Firefox mobile, I've just checked.

What browser do you use?

In Chrome, download the Animation Policy

Google Animation Policy extension and install it.

It gives you a browser toolbar button that allows you to control whether animated GIFs play (flash button on top). You can disable animations entirely, or force animated GIFs to only play a single time before stopping. You’ll have to refresh the current web page (F5) after changing this setting.

Thanks, but that seems to be for a desktop version only, and I need something that works on a mobile device. I'm using Chrome mobile.

Unfortunately Chrome for Android does not allow that feature.

You can download an app, Firefox for Android. It's slower than Chrome, but another browser option.

Then, in Firefox, paste this link to install the add-on to stop animated gifs:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/and...animated-gifs/

If you can't paste just google Firefox for Android stop animated gifs

Click on View Full Site

CLick on Donwload

In Firefox, go to the 3 Dots at the top, Tools, Add-ons

Select Toggle animated GIFs

Check Pause Gifs by default

That should work.
