I'm wondering if it's possible that I could have my old account deleted? I know that reregistering is prohibited and could get me banned, so that's why I'm asking here. My old username was "AwaitingChange". I tried to access that account before registering with my current one but was not able to remember the password or email I used when signing up.

I went ahead and merged the two accounts. You'll use McMurphy to log in, with whatever password you just set, but all of your old AwaitingChange posts are merged into that new username. That way, you don't have to wait to get your signature or lose your posting history.
