I've had 20 posts and I think 20 days still not able?

How can you see your info without posting (like I am right now lol) Where can I just find it?

Kinda makes sense. Peole join sites all the time and then never really participate. I joined yesterday and I will wait the 20 days for my ticker! lol.

I know I am new too and it's super frustrating! Unfortunately if someone wanted to spam they would just wait 20 days and then start lol, I don't think it would stop them.

I REALLY want to add a ticker too :( Sharing a ticker and weight loss in your siggy is what makes this message board stuff fun!! Bummer us newbies have to wait like that!

I've read several people posting this. that's what i am scared of, the option won't EVER appear:dizzy: The first 20 days are the hardest for a lot of newbies and those tickers hold a lot of us accountable, newbies need their sharing option to keep their momentive up :)

Most spam nowadays is from bots, and bots don't tend to come back once they've tried and failed (plus, we require 20 posts before you can post a ticker too, and you can pick out bot posts from a mile away). You'd be surprised how much this rule has helped with the amount of spam.

I am using my ticker as a goal. I can't wait to get one!

I think with a community like this, having it been a wonderful find for me, that waiting for a ticker is not a huge deal. I am just glad I don't have to wait for 20 days for encouragement/posting and sharing :)

You can always create a blog and add your ticker to it. 20 days felt like a long time for me, as well, but after the 4th day of dwelling on it, I didn't really think about it until I saw I was good to go...it flew by. The thing I hate is how long I have to wait for weight to come off! =] Now THAT I need some serious patience for.

Everytime I see the title of this thread with the red angry face beside it on the Forums page it cracks me up! I didn't realize not getting a ticker immediately could make people so agitated and angry!

The mods do an AWESOME job at keeping out spam and if you are new to 3FC you will realize eventually how grateful you'll be that it's such a spam-free site. I have never seen spam from the same spammer twice and the ticker rule is one of the ways they keep it out.

All that to say, in the long run waiting for a ticker for 20 days is really not that long. Focus on your own routine, learning about 3FC and meeting new people on the site. and use the ticker as a "mini-goal" for staying on-plan for 20 days :) :)

I think my twenty days is up tomorrow, Im way too excited for reason to be getting a ticker LOL!

Thank you..........I was driving my self crazy trying to figure out how to find those tickers! This is my first attempt at discussion boards as well, so I am happy to see that it is not "operator error" - THIS time!

Imagine how cool your ticker will be when you actually can post a loss on the first day of your ticker!! That's what kept me from freaking out until I got one. My goal was lose a bunch of pounds before I get it so my snail doesn't have to start at 237 lbs.
By the time I finally got the ticker I was rocking a solid 10 lbs loss! And let me tell you, THAT felt awesome!

I agree completely!
I think part of it is that most people enjoy instant gratification. We're used to getting things instantly instead of patiently waiting. :)
