I'm a new member. I'm so excited to be here. I know on the CP it says that you have to wait 20 days before getting a signature due to spammers. I've only been here 3 days I think and I really, really really want to set up a ticker and show some goals. Is there anyway for a staff member to override this minimum day signature ban? I'm not a spammer, just an excited and enthusiastic new member. If not, I understand. :)

The settings shift automatically by user group - which changes based on the date/time you joined and post count. So there's no easy override...you just have to wait for the promotion from Junior to Senior member. Not to mention, there's the whole "if we did it for one, we'd have to do it for all" issue...because we're a volunteer mod squad, such requests could easily eat up a lot of time, leaving us less available to track down the spam and keep the forum supportive.

But..hang in there! In the grand scheme of things, 20 days is almost no time, and you'll be there before you know it.

OT: I was reading your story the other day, you mentioned something about having some recipes that were publised in a magazine? I was wondering if there was an easy way to find them. Thanks in advance

Is 20 days the only constraint to creating a signature? I saw something that mentioned a post count and was wondering how many posts would I have to get to in order to be able to use a signature? I'm with the OP, I'm just excited and want to post a ticker that I can see. Thanks!
