Can't quote a post in reply

I am unable to highlight a post to include it in my reply. The box underneath
the reply box has no check in it and I could not find any way to put a check in the box. Would appreciate the help in this!

Hey love2be:
I just tried it and the quote box still has no check in it?
Any ideas?

The quote box won't ever have a check in it. You will click on the quote box in the post you want to quote. You don't use the reply box at the bottom of the screen at all. Clicking on quote will open a reply box.

I don't know if my instructions are clear, so I'll try to explain step by step.

Look at everyone's post on the page, in each post there is the word quote in a box in the lower right hand corner of each post.

Do you see them?

If you want to quote someone (as I did you) you click on the quote box (one left mouse click) in the lower right hand corner of their post.

Clicking on the word quote will open a reply box with the quoted portion already posted at the top. Then you you just add your comment after it (or you can write before it too, as I did my greeting but most of the time it will make more sense to add your comments after).

Does, it make sense now?

You can even quote a portion of the person's post by deleting the part of the person's post you don't want to quote (just be careful not to delete the brackets or anything inside the brackets).
