Is there an ignore button?
 

Is there a button to set someone on "ignore" so that you don't see their posts?

I agree! Oh dear, perhaps then everyone will "ignore" me!

Yes there is. Click on the person's name and their profile will appear. On the purple bar, there is an option to add the person to your ignore list. When they post, you will see a line stating their post is being ignored but you won't see the post contents.

Ah, found it. You have to click through to their public profile. I was looking for it on the drop down list.
