I am wondering how long it takes for a blog post to be approved?

I was kinda wondering this too. I haven't been using mine because i don't know if they aren't getting posted at all, or if it just takes some time before they are viewable to others?

it doesn't come up in the recently updated posts column after i hit publish.

Chunkychic, we update the blog listings in the "share your diet blog" forum a couple of times a week, but not every day. I've approved yours :)

Kaebea, are you referring to the updated blog list on the blog home page? Your blog will appear instantly, unless you have your blog privacy settings set to block it from appearing elsewhere. To find out, go to your blog admin panel and click the settings link on the far right. Then look for the 'privacy' link in the menu. If you choose the option to block it from search engines but allow normal visitors, it will block it from the latest updates list. The reason is that search engines follow links, so if it's there then it will appear in search engines. The only way for someone to view it is if they know the direct url. Check the other one and it will show up :)
