Oh... I LOVE Waking Ned Devine. It's one of my favourites.
When they're trying to get the bridge back in his mouth and they're laughing... you know it's real laughter.

Just saw In Good Company and I really enjoyed it. It was kind of a last minute theater down the street decision and I did not expect much (the advertisement look kind of romantic comedy) but it actually had soem substance and is mostly about the work relationship between the Dennis Quaid character and the Topher Grace cahracter.

Someone mentioned Danny Deckchair - I also thought it was charming. It really did not seem like it was arround in theaters for long, but I happened to catch it and really liked it. Rhys Iffans cleans up pretty well.

Yes, I definately agree, Rhys Iffans is yummy. Did you see The Shipping News? He had a small part in it, but was still adorable. The book was also good, if you're interested. Different, but better. He was definately endearing in this movie and I thought he was cute all scruffy-like too.

I watched the first episode of a really good looking anime last night called Elfen Lied. Well drawn and interesting. Very violent at first though.

Liziness - What we've been watching Anime-wise are the "big names;" Akira & Ghost in the Shell so far. If you have recommendations as to what to try next, I'd be interested to read them. Netflix has a pretty extensive collection of Anime since it's gotten so popular.

In other watching, not really a movie... The DH loves the Mr. Bean collections, and we got the first disc from Netflix Monday. I realized all over again that I just don't find them very funny. Rowan Atkinson I found ROFL-funny in the Black Adder series, but Mr. Bean is mostly stupid physical humor that doesn't tickle me. Ah well - only two more discs and then our TV watching will be the next Simpsons DVD collection, woo hoo!

Later, Ladies!

I agree, I liked Rowan Atkinson in Black Adder but can't stand Mr. Bean.

Speaking of British t.v series....I bought some of the Cracker series with Robbie Coltrane but haven't sat down to watch them yet. I am going to try to watch one of them on the weekend.

Speaking of movies, I told DH that I'd be seeing you soon, and he immediately asked me if you still had two of our movies, Mauvais?
I don't know/care what they are.
You should pop over and borrow some of ours soon...

Speaking of Woody Allen, has anyone seen The Jade Scorpion? I just love him. (well, apart from his perverse parts)

Nah...I find Woody Allen kind of annoying....If I had to sit near him on the subway I'd probably have to fight the urge to bash him over the head with my handbag - he just has that effect on me
