I just dumped four bags of stuff at the Sally Anne, and threw out a bunch of JUNK in the garbage!

Fall Fling!

Way to go ellis! :cp:

BTW how are your new kitchen appliances? What did you get?

I flung a bunch of old tapes and an electric foot massage/bath that had a crack in it and finally treated myself to a hydrotherapy foot massage/footbath/pedicure spa :cb:

ellis 09-27-2004 03:49 PM

Good going, Mauvais! :hat:

The appliances are beautiful, dah'ling!
We got, ummm... a Frigidaire convection oven (stainless steel) with smooth top cook surface and the buttons at the front. And a Frigidaire (also SS) dishwasher, and a SS range hood. So far we've only unpacked the stove, as we're ripping out a wall and the ceiling right now. It's ugly in here. Very ugly. :D

mauvaisroux 09-27-2004 03:57 PM

OOOHHHHHH! I am sooooooo jealous! I have always wanted stainless steel appliances in my kitchen!

squeaker 09-27-2004 04:29 PM

It may be ugly now, but I am sure it will look lovely when you are done!

Ruthxxx 09-27-2004 04:46 PM

Ya gonna start cooking, Ellis?

Woohoo! When's dinner?

dentrassi 09-28-2004 01:43 PM

Sounds like it will be a dream kitchen when it is done! I have always wanted a convection oven (used one when I was cooking school lunches) so I am a bit jealous!!!

Any idea how to use the damned thing?

mauvaisroux 09-28-2004 04:47 PM

Read the manual -

Community Yard Sales October 23rd...So I'm on the road to get RID of stuff. So far I have a small pile priced, but I am just in need of motivation to get started on the rest. Fling Fling! I'm glad you put this thread back up...gives me motivation to get busy again. :D

dentrassi 09-28-2004 10:43 PM

Mauvais-

Ellis-Pretty much like any oven. It cooks faster though!!! DON'T put anything in with loose flour on it though. A teacher at the school made pretzels in it, and the fan blew the flour all over the place...a real mess that I had to clean up!!!

ellis 09-29-2004 07:11 AM

The manual doesn't say anything much about the fan. What do you know about it, Den? The first time we cooked pizza in it (450 degrees for 25 minutes), the fan kept going for at least half an hour after I'd turned the over off. (not the fan in the oven... the one that blew the flour onto the floor ;) ) Is that normal? :?: I even thought the oven was still on because it was so hot in there, but it wasn't. I guess it's REALLY well insulated in there, and the heat wasn't escaping like with my old oven.

mauvaisroux 09-29-2004 07:25 AM

You should be nice and toasty warm in the winter then :D

Yesterday I flung some crappy old rattan baskets and an old yoga mat that was past it's best and to the point of being uncomfortable and lumpy. I think I will treat myself to a new one with my allowance this week. :cb:
