Spent most of the day doing physical labour around the house :)

Today I am walking to and from work and taking a walk at lunch which will add up to about 80 minutes of walking :tread:

laura_on_a_bike 09-07-2004 09:20 AM

yesterday i rode my local mountain bike. 1 hour, about 8 miles.

today i ran for 20 minutes and walked for 10. then i put together furniture and re-aranged the bedroom 3 or 4 times.

Walked about a mile today at the beach. Beautiful day here in Seattle. School starts tomorrow, so there are fewer people at the beach, which is nice.

20 minutes of arm strength training and 10 minutes of abs before i felt like i would curl up into a ball and die if i did one more jacknife or weighted crunch.

1 mile of Walk Away the Pounds last night, and another one this morning before work.

LeanLongStrong 09-08-2004 07:35 PM

about 15 minutes on stationary bike
about 10 on elliptical trainer

1/2 mile walk

yesterday: 1:15 hour walk with my mom
today: 3 mile run/intervals

Good morning! One power walk mile this morning....more tonight!

lessofsarahtolove 09-09-2004 09:48 PM

Did another mile tonight, so 2 for the day, and 5 since Tuesday.

Arriba!

Two-mile walk on the beach promenade tonight. Listened to learning Spanish on my MP3 in one direction and salsa music on the mile back! So if you're walking and you hear someone muttering "Quiero presentarle al Senor Molina," (sp?), it's probably ME! ( I must admit, I'm still a little embarassed to do pronunciations while walking, as it looks like I'm talking to myself.) :dizzy:

Thank you for this thread. I'm finding that it really motivates me to do something each day.

laura_on_a_bike 09-10-2004 08:47 AM

today i am taking off. its is my rest day. this thread has really motivated me to get out and move too. i have to force myself to take a break. i work 9 hours today and the first half of that will be heavy lifting and running around all over the place so if i ran of lifted weights by 6 tonite i would be dead. can you count work as excercise?

hope everyone has a fun activity filled weekend.

Another mile tonight -- I'd intended to do more, but TOM was simply FIERCE. :( Tomorrow's another day, though, so I'll have more to report I'm sure!

LeanLongStrong 09-11-2004 03:08 AM

One mile earlier today.

Less of Sarah: I had to think about TOM and what it meant....I presume Time of Month? At first I thought you might be in hurricane territory, but then I realized the names weren't up to the T's yet, so I knew that couldn't be it! I was ready to be really impressed by anyone who persevered and went walking in near-hurricane conditions!
