Challenge chat - Week 1
Well here we are in our first week of the challenge :cb:
So far I have exercised for 1 hour for two days running :dancer: Food today: 1 pita sandwich, no butter-lettuce, low fat cheese and low fat ham 1 coffee dinner tonight will be home-made pizza with a side salad and a diet coke |
Well I treated myself to fat frozen yogurt yesterday-but at least it was low-fat!
Day 3 and still OP! :D |
Mauvaisroux, you are really doing great with the exercising!
So far so good for me too. I had some ice cream and fresh raspberries today – and it tasted truly yummy! :D I really love summer with fresh fruits and berries everywhere! |
I love summer berries :T
Tonight we are having chili that DH made -delish! |
Oh crepe! Got on the scale and I am up a little :p maybe because I have started strength training  I would like to reach my WW goal by the 16th of August.
|
But it still sounds as if you’re doing really well. The weight will come off again – gaining muscle and losing fat: it’s definitely the right way to go! :D
I’ve started weightlifting too this week – so just wait and see – we’ll be lean and strong in no time! :strong: |
Yep! I am putting it down to the strength training. Feeling good today and have stayed pretty well OP this week :D
|
I have stayed on plan this week too. I’ve been trying to change my eating a bit though: I’m still eating about 1500 calories a day but I’m trying to eat more protein. I’m aiming for 30%protein, 30%fat and 40%carbs, but find it hard to eat that much protein.
It makes it quite obvious that my cravings mainly are for sweets and carbs. :p |
Good going mette! :cp:
I hear ya about the carbs and sweets. I incorporated "better" carb eating into my WW plan and it took a couple of weeks to get rid of the cravings. It did happen though and I no longer crave chips and buttertarts or chocolate anymore. |
well popping my head in. i started packing healthy lunches at work. and that seems to be helping. now i come home and relax and then eat a healthy dinner. instead of coming home and eating the whole kitchen because i am starving.
need to start working on exercising again. somehow i just dropped that habit and just never started back up again. |
Good going on the healthy lunches :cp:
I find if I stop exercising I have a hard time getting back into again too :( The way I did it was by getting up 1/2 hour earlier in the morning and do a DVD tape. That way I can't make any excuses like I have something else to do or I had a hard day at work and can't be bothered exercising now. I have to admit that it is sometimes a struggle to get out of bed but I feel charged up for the rest of the day when I exercise in the morning. :) |
Mauvais , I admit to tossing that idea around. and i know i need to. have the tape just haven't found the willpower to get up any earlier. problem is after work i am too beat to exercise. well that is my thing to work on this month. EXERCISE!!!
|
mauvaisroux - I’m interested in hearing more about these cravings that went away. ;) I suppose by better carbs you mean whole grains, no white sugar, fresh fruits and berries – things like that?
Good work! It’s almost like a detox, isn’t it? Heather – I’ve found that too: that eating healthy meals keep me from starving – and binging. Good luck on the exercising. So, we’re almost finished with week one. How did everybody do? I did well – kept on plan and did my exercises like a good little girl! :D |
Right mette - I cut out potatoes, white rice and white flour products. I switched to whole grain bread, whole wheat pasta, brown rice etc. I only have sugar in my coffee first thing in the morning. :coffee:
I did okay this week - nothing new to report - my weight is still the same :) |
Yeah. I didn't lose this week either. But I still had a good week – both with food and exercise. We'll just keep up the good work, right? ;)
