Default General chat for June

Good morning all

Up early this morning to exercise and then we are picking my parents up and driving to Brockville for the day.

So far I have had a nice relaxing weekend. Drove to Merrickville yesterday and toodled around the shops and along the river.

DH said I could buy myself one treat (he's trying to help me stay on plan) of imported British chocolates from one of the shops but I opted for some lovely hand lotion that smells of lemon and cloves - divine and better for my waistline

Hope you are all having a great weekend!

Yes indeed. Played golf yesterday-- I'm hitting the long irons with ease, the woods are longer, and my short game has improved. Putting still in the toilet, however. Then went to the mall, bought a much needed sofa. And the Calvin Klein bridge line is at 70% off!!!! Calvin Klein thinks I'm a size 10!!!!

It was so blasted hot I couldn't eat much, even turned down the offer of a Haggen-Dazs because I couldn't bear walking across the 100 d. F. parking lot. Sometimes the only thing to do is get in a cool bath with a cool icy drink. Cucumbers, mint, and ice, that's all I can think of. And it's supposed to be even hotter today! ****'s bells!

Had a great day today too

We took my parents down to Brockville for the day and had fish and chips in the park down by the water front. It was a bit windy but a gorgeous day We did a little shopping then drove to Smith Falls and toodled around the town.

My mum and dad both really enjoyed themselves and my dad said he felt like he had a mini-vacation just getting out of the city for the day.

Have had a few nice days.

Went and had pictures taken with my munchkin. They turned out really cute.

I have been on a cleaning spree around the apartment.

Went to the Falls for lunch and walked around, with mom, sisters and nephew. It was a beautiful day out, and we enjoyed it!

Hi girls!
So glad you're all having a good weekend!!

Had a nice time with Mom and Dad and my sister today. We had lunch together, and I only cried once when no one was looking.

Squeak, pictures, please!!

Man...perfect time for me to come up!! My daughter is up there right now with my in-laws..she said she is going swimming every day. I remember the good ol' days down in Roseburg...swimming in the rivers...not a care in the world. And the water was actually warm in the summertime.

Anytime, Angel. Just give me a couple of days notice so I can clean the house. You probably wouldn't set foot in here otherwise: the dust bunnies might mistake you for food.

I posted a few pictures Ellis. I still have to scan the professional one we had done.

I am very glad you had a nice day today. And I swear an email is on it's way soon!

Just popping in to say Hi. Been too damned busy to post here as well as on Low CArb and South Beach.
Mauvais! So close and yet so far! Sounds like a great day.
And Squeak! A lot farther away but still close. Are you coming to Ottawa sometime?
Good control, ellis. I know how hard it is not to let it out in "public".
Big hug and wave to the rest of the Alternachicks.

Hey Ruthxxx!

I was just telling DH in the car yesterday that I want to drive to Delta!

Miss you but I do pop into SBD one in a while to put my 2 cents in so I will see you over there!

Hi Ruthxxx! I am trying to get up to Ottawa but it is currently difficult. I am trying for September maybe, since I am now going back out to California in August.

I found some jeans that really fit me at the mall yesterday. These are Levi's "550 Classic" boot cut, "relaxed fit," "sits at the waist." That style usually comes as a straight leg jean, but I guess they just started making them in a boot cut, with a dark rinse. The fabric has a lot of stretch, and it's very, very soft. I can really move in them, and a size 10 fits with no sucking in of the wind, unlike the 515's. I got them at Mervyn's, they were even on sale! So I'm pretty blissed out, to say the least.

Yay Seek! Don't you love it when that happens? And on sale too!
