|

|
 I'm such a !!
|
Thanks SEEK for the wonderful photo!
ILENE Snape was a pleasant surprise for me. I took my Mom to see Harry Potter as a favor to her. I had no desire to see it. But just like thousands of other people on the internet, I became very intrigued by the dark brooding potions professor. I had to laugh when I did an internet search on Prof Snape and found hundreds of websites designed by folks who wanted to go to detention in Prof Snape's dungeon! He has become quite the cult figure on the internet. I really laughed when I saw a Mom post on the internet that she could not get Snape off her mind and her kids are tired of her dragging them to see Harry Potter again and again. They finally said Mom not Harry Potter again! She also said her husband seems so dull to her now! I had to feel sorry for the husband --it would be hard to compete with Snape and his Magical powers :wizard: Don't worry Ilene there are many others who have never heard of him I'm sure. --Pookie |
It's Metatron! (Kevin Smith's Dogma)
|
Yup he's one and the same. He was quite an interesting Angel
|
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/atta...chmentid=18120 It's Alan Rickman!!
|
 Heather, my mom begged us to take her and my dad to see the First Harry Potter...as soon as I saw Professor Snape I thought..."Hey, its Trent Reznor's dad!" and yes both of them are drool worthy in my book :T
I also think that Sauramon (Christopher Lee) in the Lord of the Rings trilogy looks like Trent Reznor's grandpa....:chin:....or maybe I am just obsessed with Trent and seeing him everywhere...:lol3: Actually Trent reminds me of my yummilicious husband...perhaps that's why I am attracted to him...pale skin, dark hair, intelligent, creative, and they are both musicians....hmmmmm... but then that doesn't explain my lusting after Chow Yung Fat...:?: |
Quote:
( always had a thing for Charles Bronson growing up..) when i lived in New Orleans i was about 3 blocks away from Trent's house. need i tell you how many hours i sat and sat and sat. me and a book waiting for trent? |
I just LOVE Alan Rickman. Loved him as the Sherrif of Nottingham in Robin Hood, loved him in the Potter movies. My only complaint is that in the books, his character has much MUCH more to do with the story than what you see in the movies. I was disappointed that they played him down.
And yes, he can mix me a love potion #9 anytime he wants to. Tiki |
Heather, when I was in New Orleans I went on the walking tour and saw his house...no sign of him though...sigh...:( oddly enough, besides my hubby, Trent is the only musician I lust after....)
Men I consider desirable: (in no particular order) Sean Connery - the only Bond for me- ....if only he were 30 years younger...sigh... Trent Reznor Alan Rickman Chow Yun Fat Russell Wong -you may remember him from the film Romeo Must Die- Gary Oldman - especially as Dracula- he can bite me anytime  Johnny Depp Wesley Snipes (especially as Blade) Bruce Campbell Antonio Banderas Owen Wilson (although I am not particularly attracted to blond men there is something about him... ) Clint Eastwood -especially in those old spaghetti westerns Harrison Ford Okay Heather, as you can see, my choices are not particularly "the norm" and I am not really attracted to "pretty boys". I prefer men with character in their faces - a scar, a broken nose, a few lines...a certain kind of intensity, a little dark, that you feel that there is an underlying sense of humour in their nature, intelligent and creative...works for me! ;) Geeze, I just describe my husband, except for the broken nose - but he does have a scar over one of his eyebrows... |
Chow Yun Fat is absolutely, totally cool, ditto the whole Hong Kong action scene-- especially Jackie Chan, yum.
And there is something about that bad boy vibe, I must admit.... Spike, Snape, the Sheriff of Nottingham-- I wasn't even looking at Kevin Costner in that movie.... |
Hey didn't we do the men I'm attracted to already? Guess we just can't get enough of a good thing.
I LOVE ALAN RICKMAN. First time I saw him was in Die Hard and even though he was a bad guy he was yummm, yummmm good. He's such a great actor. He was great in "Mesmer" (not sure if I spelled that right), too. OK, what wasn't he great in? Thanks for the pic Seek. |
Oh.....Trent yummy too. And oh so talented.
|
SEEK there are many rumors on the internet about Kevin Costner seeing the daily takes during the making of Robin Hood and getting very upset that Alan was stealing the movie from him. Apparently Kevin insisted that many of Alan's scenes be cut. I did not buy the DVD that recently came out but I heard it has a lot of those deleted scenes and the Sherriff scenes are terrific. People even say if all the scenes had been left in he might have received an oscar nomination for a supporting role.
Tiki, many Potter fans were disappointed there was so little of Snape. At least on the video tape/DVD of the 1st movie they put back in one of Snapes scenes. I really enjoyed seeing the "extended" version of the potions class at the end of the tape. P.S. To any Alan Rickman fans out there make sure you see Truly Madly Deeply. He plays a ghost who comes back to his lover. It's a wonderful movie and one of his most romantic roles. |
Pookie - you are so right. Alan did steal the show in Robin Hood. If there are extended sherrif scenes in the new release I would definitely consider getting it.
Pardon the drool marks folks. :-)~ |
Hi TEUFELCHEN, I did not see the Robin Hood DVD myself so I can't be sure but a lot of people on the internet say they really enjoyed it.
I think there was also a previous CD out there somewhere so make sure you get the most recent one with the additional scenes. Alan did get the BAFTA for his performance which is the British Academy Awards. Notice how he does especially well in the roles where he is all dressed in BLACK. Just like you I also enjoyed him as Hans Gruber in Die Hard. What a waste to have him fall out of that skyscraper! I guess it would have been a little hard to have brought him back for the sequels after that fall. Too bad it wasn't a soap opera-- they always find ways to bring people back from the dead. |
I have both versions of the RobinHood DVD. The first version is a two sided DVD - have to flip the dern thing to finish the movie - HATED IT! The second has the deleted scenes and we learn something VERY INTERESTING about the Sherriff. I won't post it here but if you don't plan on buying it and want to know, then PM me and I will tell.
Oh yeah, I bet he would have been a much better roll in the hay than Costner. Maid Marion was an idiot. Tiki. |

|
A have a good boy, but he's a babe. :D
|
ellis : as long as he is a babe ;)
|
Yeah...my "boy" is also a very good boy...Old fashioned morals and Tall, Dark Haired, & HANDSOME!! Oh and he cooks & cleans & WORKS & even wipes the seatie & loves rats!! I had to give up the bad boy I had for this one!!!
Wonder if I can get hubby to pretend he's a bad boy just for the heck of it?? Well, he use to be a bad boy when he was cruising along in his Mustang does that count??? :lol3: |
Well, you know, they say never judge a book by its cover. When my Mom first met my hubbie, she just looked at this 6'4" - 145 lb - black clad, white faced boy and said "Are you sure?" Yep. Turns out that the goth boy has more morals and ethics than I do, and he cleans, takes out the garbage , drives me anywhere I want to go and then picks me up. And one of his best qualities (there are so many) - he makes me laugh!
Yikes enough gushing about my man. Who else looks good in black besides Alan Rickman? |
I hate to say it but...
My ex-DH looked DAMN good in black. Man... :p Ohhhh we mean movieeeee starsssss!!! Thinking...Thinking.... Hey they have Oprah on right now...and Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer both have black shirts on...They look pretty damn edible if ya ask me...Black does something for ALL men...Red being a close 2nd. **slurp** http://www.harrythecat.com/Smiley/a16.gif |

Black does look good on guys Noodles. Have to agree with you there. Well, I know he was mentionned earlier but Johnny Depp looks good in anything, but particularly black. http://www.starsontop.com/moviestarsposters/id3.htm Antonio Banderas |

Gary Oldman as Dracula. I know it's an older film, but Gary was soooo good in that movie, I would have willingly offered up my neck. :dizzy:
|
Yep...he's on my list!
|
