Weekly Weigh in

Good morning alternachicks :coffee:

:goodscale: I am starting the weekly weigh early so that we can see where we are at for the new Summer recommitment thread.

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

Still holding at 160lbs despite the Indian food from last night and the 2 beers I drank :o

Still stuck. So this is a plateau. I can see all the way to the horizon from here. Oh look, it's a herd of buffalo-- no, I'm wrong, it's just my cellulite jiggling.....

:lol3: you crack me up.

well i am at 182. which i think the scale was higher last week but i refused to step on. been drinking my water like a good girl and started to move more. i really think my diet is wired into my bipolar and that i only lose weight on up swings. how frustrating.

Yikes! Too much pizza and beer over the weekend. 200 lbs, would like to get down to 190 by my birthday on 6/15.

Down 2 pounds from last week, putting me at 259.

Graceful Goddess 04-22-2004 11:23 AM

I'm down to 212 as of this morning :) ! I'm feeling svelte and powerful (the scale has far too much power over my moods). I may see Onederland before the end of summer. Yippiee!!

blugirrl1 04-24-2004 09:46 AM

Graceful : way to go. ( know what you mean about the scale, and your moods, i am actually trying to stay off scale. down to only once a day that i step on, maybe i can get it down to every other day lol)

SeekInnerThinChick 04-24-2004 12:39 PM

166 as of April 24, 2004. Finally the plateau cracks open. (* grimly determined look *)

Down another 2 pounds, for a total of 27 pounds lost. I think I can, I think I can! :)

Teufelchen 04-27-2004 12:45 PM

Well, I gained 1.5 lbs. I thought it was 3, so there is a bright side. I've been going up and down this 1-1.5 lbs for far too long. Gotta get back on track.

No loss to report this week, even though I ate 100% on plan and biked 5 days and walked every day. I wonder if maybe my calories are too low. I've kept it to around 1500, with a current ratio of 20-23% fat/40-45% lean protein/35-40% low-glycemic carbs. I drink at least 100 oz. of water every day, without fail -- usually 120-140. Anyone got any feedback?

SeekInnerThinChick 05-02-2004 10:11 PM

Are you recording your measurements? That always helps me when the scale doesn't budge. Often either the tape measurement changes, or the scale measurement, but not both at the same time. And then sometimes, for no reason at all, nothing happens. There isn't any obvious explanation, and it's about as exciting as watching paint dry. It's just frustrating, and you just have to grin and bear it. But keeping records makes it easier for me, I can look back over the last couple of years and see I've come a long way.

Another thing I tell myself is: I spent years and years fat, what makes me think I can get slim and healthy in just a few months? The body has to repair all the damage I've done to it over the years, and that repairwork doesn't always show on the surface. It's like fixing up an old house-- you have to clear out and replace the termite-damaged areas before you can install the whirlpool and Italian marble tiles. But you get to that point eventually. Patience does pay off, at least it has for me. Good luck!
