Well, I have a physical set for Oct. 21, and after that she'll tell me to get my Mammo....so I'll be having mine in Nov.

LOVE THOSE SQUISHED BOOBS!!! (NOT)

ellis 10-05-2003 07:51 PM

Thanks, Chris. Good reminder. I hate checking my own. I'm always afraid I'm going to find something. duh.

Jennifer 3FC 10-05-2003 11:37 PM

I always forget to do self checks. My gyno gave me a shower reminder card, that hangs over the back of shower head. It has a diagram of a hand on a boob. Very subtle. :o

Cause I love ya!

Did it! I am such a responsible person!

rochemist 10-06-2003 01:43 PM

Well did you remind the Red Hat Club? Need to look out for our sisters, responsible Mistress Ruth!

Miss Chris

dentrassi 10-06-2003 02:34 PM

MISTRESS RUTH!!! I can just see her in her purple leathers, red thigh high boots and whip!!!!!

HarmonyBreeze 10-06-2003 03:57 PM

At what age do you have to start having mammograms? I'm 21 and I've never had one, I was just curious. Although I must admit, it doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun. :-D

rochemist 10-06-2003 04:08 PM

Some depends on your family history. If you have a genetic predisposition to breast cancer you should start earlier. A good baseline should be taken between 35-40 and then yearly after 40 is what I was told once. Even at 21 a BSE should be performed within 7 days after your monthly cycle. If I am off base or not remembering right feel free to correct me ladies.

Dead on, Miss Chris. And we did discuss boob squishes at our tea party.
One little hint to ease some of the discomfort - cut out caffeine for 2-3 days before the procedure and take tylenol 3 or something similar a half hour before the procedure.

ellis 10-06-2003 04:40 PM

OH MY GOD!!! :yikes: Is it that bad!?

Ruthxxx 10-06-2003 05:17 PM

Well, I dunno about your boobs, sweetie, but mine do not get flattened to a pancake. They get flattened into a large pizza crust! It really isn't THAT bad or painful but it sure as frass is not comfy!

bella23 10-06-2003 05:23 PM

I had my first mam. when I was 25 yrs old. I had it that early because my my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 37 and died a month later 1 week after her 38th b-day. So with that said, I get mine done every other year and every year once 35. Not a fun experience, but not as bad as I thought they would be.

But I have already had my scare so I know that it's best to have it done early!!!

squeaker 10-06-2003 08:30 PM

While I am not quite ready for a boob squish. I did make my annual gyn appointment. Thanks for the reminder Chris!

dentrassi 10-06-2003 08:54 PM

I HATE 'EM.....with a passion. But I still do them!!! Now that I am so fat and saggy they need to do 2 on each breast for each position. ANOTHER incentive to lose weight!!!!

ellis 10-06-2003 10:30 PM

Oh, Bella... I'm so sorry about your Mom... that is so very young. :grouphug:

dentrassi 10-07-2003 09:25 PM

Bella-I'm sorry about your mother. That IS way too young.

Rowan Bailey 10-09-2003 03:24 PM
