looking for alternatives
 

I'm new, and I'm not sure how alternative I am, but I liked the feel of the relationships in this forum, and I'd like to join you.

I've spent about four hours surfing the diet sites, since about 9 pm last night my time,:comp:, and 3FC was certainly the most attractive.

I am very interested in a buddy,:high: for support. I've spent most of this week hiding in novels to avoiding decisions I have to make in order to stop eating my self to death. I need to believe I can still get up and walk through doors that seem to be closing, if I can just find the guts to choose to do that.

I know this sounds heavy, it's just the way it's coming out; I'm really grateful to have this new way to be honest about the whole mess and that there are people like you know exactly what it's all about.

Because my husband will be home from a late shift in a few minutes, I will fill in a bio tomorrow.

Don't worry about sounding too serious, sometimes you just need to unload and get things out in the open in order to make a decision for yourself.

I started out grinning and ended up laughing out loud by the end of your greetings--and it feels great to laugh :joker:

I had a much more productive day than many recent ones. And it's because I knew I was coming back here tonight. Three lines off my insanely long "to do" list ....I certainly belong in a nut house..very glad I found this one :balloons:

I even took time to cut up the melon and strawberries that have been waiting all week while I worked through the chocolate :dizzy: --- why is it that safe food always needs so much more frigging prep time???

It's past ten here and I still have a dog to walk - Sadie's been my "physical activity" saviour :angel: since I got her 2 years ago --so sweet dreams all, and thanks again

The good stuff always takes more work because you are using fresh and starting from scratch and not using pre-fab food. I am a big proponent of not eating processed food :soap: :lol: but once you start eating and cooking like that you will get used to and find it tastes much better! :D

I hear you on the exercise- I have been trying to get back into a routine for the last 3 weeks-not doing very well though :rolleyes:

Yeah - where are you on The Island? My DD is in Nanaimo where they do the naked bungee jumping and have the harbour bathrub races and have more pars per person than anywhere in Canada!

Oh, puhleeze! :rolleyes: I have met Ruthxxx and she is even nuttier in person, and that is a good thing in my books! :lol:
