to all us EBAY Sluts

the best, the worst and the wierdest thing you ever saw or bid on or bought off ebay:

best: Vintage watch! Ab~fab!!!
worst: bootleg computer program, though not persented as such and totaly stupid, dumb and worthless
wierdest: I never even bid, but there is/was a woman who bought baby chicks and ducks and had them stuffed and sold them with a little poem about how they would have been just raised to die anyway but now they can remain cute and cuddly for ever...*shudder*.

I just look on ebay...but I once saw a ghost in a jar for sale.

I've seen a LOT of really bad or ugly stuff on ebay!!! Sometimes I even search for"stupid ***" or "Butt Ugly" just to see what comes up!!! Have also found some fun/rare things like "Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers" cartoons.

Best and worst all in one-A page from an EARLY Chaucer book. Cool, hubby nearly wanted it, but a friend (Chaucer expert) explained that people cut up old books to do that, and that NOT buying them is the way to go.....

Best -- would have to be the lavender floral hip scarf, I got SUCH a deal on it since Shimmy Shimmy charges like 50+ and I only paid 17 plus shipping, and it's gorgeous.

Worst -- would be the nose ring, it was so chintzy and it arrived broken, then the replacement she sent looked stupid and the stone fell out of it and it hurt like a you-know-what to pull out of my nose.

Weirdest -- for me, would be the 75 baby food jars I bought for candle making. Weird, because I HAVE a baby, and after 15.00 shipping, it would've been cheaper just to BUY the baby food.

Best - A Bright Yellow Bowling Bag that made the cutest darn purse ever. I bought it close to Christmas Day when NO ONE was bidding for around $5.

Worst - The Cute Boyfriend bought a copy of Civ III for his computer. Has he just waited the 2 weeks it took me to get frustrated with it, he could have had my copy.

Weirdest - A woman who would paint you and your dog into a painting that she had started. I actually considered bidding on it.

Ok, for some Ebay-Fun, read this guy's feedback that he has left for other people, none of which he actually dealt with. Sounds like Tom Green!

I am an Ebay junkie....

That feedback was TOO funny...

I have bought and sold so much on Ebay the past few years...where do I begin???
Some of the best things I have ever bought on Ebay:
Hand dyed silk belly dance veils by A'Kai Silks or user name dancing_sunflower...I now have four of them, and I am a vendor for them at local dance events...she makes AWESOME stuff!

harem pants from Juliari designs...they are nice quality and a great price!

Barbie Play and Store house for my daughter last Christmas...it was huge, and I saved about $30 off of the store price.

Princess Diana madame Alexander doll...my mom is a MA doll collector-and she SO wanted this one...so I got to be the hero 2 Christmases ago when I bought it for her!

Worst-
I bid on a Wilton Cake pan that ended up being warped/bent when it arrived, and the lady who sold it to me was a real WITCH.

ellis 09-28-2003 08:44 PM

How much?

squeaker 09-28-2003 09:26 PM

$30 total. :) 2 black "Hot Topic" type shirts.

aphil 09-28-2003 09:32 PM

Well-I just won a new mint in box $90 Madame Alexander doll for $40!
My mom collects them and has 3 out of the four "I love Lucy" ones...I just finished her set by winning the "Vitameatavegamin" one...she has no idea though, because it is for her Christmas present! I totally lucked out-because they usually go on Ebay for $70+...the Lucy ones are very popular in the Madame Alexander dolls.
It is really cute...it even has the little bottle and spoon!

I bought a Madame Alexander doll at TJ-Maxx several years ago, I think I paid about 11 bucks for it. It was a darling little "Mayor of Munchkinland" with the box and everything. I seriously regret not having bought all they had. I'm not a collector, though. I sold it on eBay for $80 !!
