Chris is in hospital today having a tumour removed from her jaw and some gum reconstruction. What a **** of a way to spend your birthday!
When she checks in, we'll have to break out the champagne and balloons and presents!
WHAT A BUMMER!!!!! Hope you have a speedy recovery, and that you have had SOME Birthday Fun even in the hospital. Then you can come home and have a HUGE birthday celebration!!! I always have believed in "BIRTHDAY MONTH!!!"
It actually went much better than expected. The specialists took a look and it was nothing, an absess. But I had to have surgery to correct the loss of tooth mass in the area, that means cutting into the gum, receding it, and exposing some of the bone. It was really weird. They overed my face in iodine from the lips out, and then covered my head and chin in a drape. Over that went another drape. I don't remember much after that alot of pushing and pulling. Then I was cold. Still a bit freezing here. But I am okay this morning, the stitches are sticking out a bit. I decided against the Darvaset this morning and instead took a few Advil. Today is my son's 12th birthday and I wanted to start his cake. I know this is long and probably unnessary. But its okay and at least its OVER!
Thank goodness you are OK and it was not a tumour!! Still...I hope that you feel a bit better every day and that you'll be feeling fine again very soon! HB to your son too - and I think you deserve a REAL birthday with cake and a LOT of treats when you are all well again. Lots of hugs -- Lidian
What a relief to see your smiling face, and to hear the good news!! Hope the pain isn't too bad. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your son!! Don't overdo it, except in the celebrating department!!!
