can y'all play 'the Panama canal' in the tub...you know, when one side of the water in the tub is higher than the other...no, just you, Ginya.

ellis 03-25-2003 09:45 AM

Oh sure... in my small tub in the attic. And when I get out, there's actually only a couple of inches of water in the tub, but it seems full when I'm in it.

Sojourner 03-25-2003 02:38 PM

Uh huh!

How about sore knees, sore legs, sore feet, and a sore back?

What about feeling sleepy and tired and barely having the energy to function normally?

I definitely won't miss that dreadful feeling that I get when a) I run into someone who I haven't seen in a long time b) someone takes out a camera or video recorder and c) I have to look at pictures or videos of myself.

And I recently had the trauma of buying a new swimming suit. Wouldn't it be amazing to buy a bikini and look great in it?

Trying to buy clothes that supposedly camoflage my fat.

Weighing as much as my husband.

Oh yes, the chaffing thigh thing just makes me nuts in the summer!

And of course, only fitting into plus size clothes. That is probably my most hated aspect of being FAT. :moo:

mauvaisroux 03-25-2003 04:52 PM

 How about weighing more than your husband

dentrassi 03-25-2003 04:58 PM

I do too Mauvais, and I can't stand it!!!

ellis 03-25-2003 05:16 PM

That's what I was thinking, Mauvais.

I will not miss my shorts riding up my inside thighs when I am walking!!!! I will not miss hearing a guy whistle and know it is not directed at me. I will not miss going to an outside concert in summer and being one of the most dressed people. I will not miss searching for the nonfat ice creams or the low fat meals on the menu!

Husbands...

HA... well, I did weigh more than my husband not so long ago. But I'm proud to say as of today I am one pound lighter. Of course, he has been losing weight since the beginning of the year without even trying! He's lost like eight or nine pounds... but I'm finally lighter than he is! (but he is 6'1" and I am 5'1") Of course, he also exercises like ten times a week.

Lunula 03-26-2003 12:20 PM

Yeah, I definitely won't miss weighing more than my husband. He's 6'0 and I am 5'6... even when he was at his highest of 200 (which didn't last long) I was at my highest of 208. /sigh

Now I weigh a whopping 4 lbs less than him - still no see-saws at the playground for us! :p

ginya 03-26-2003 12:58 PM

I use to weigh a lot more than my hubby, now we are pretty mush the same, with me being a bit smaller, but I still cant fit in his jeans...shirts...socks...hmmmmmmmm

Lidian 03-26-2003 02:23 PM

Yeah, I am very anxious to weigh less than DH. He gained a few pounds (not that you can tell) so he weighs about 3 lbs less than me (probably 10 lbs less now as he loses quickly, d*** it all!). But then he is small-boned. But he is also 4" taller than me. And has that thin guy metabolism. He put on 30 lbs once and NO ONE noticed in my family even when he had a big gut and everything, my mother was stiull going oh he's so nice and thin! The reverse is true of their perception of ME, of course! Ha ha...

Chris is at an all time high of 147 w/ clothes on. He has been packing on muscles the last few monthes at work. I can only dream of being less than him! 53 pounds til we are even!

dentrassi 03-26-2003 04:11 PM

DH is 6 feet tall and his HIGHEST weight was 165. He is now about 155, and I am over 200 lbs at 4' 10" so it will take me a while too!! He has these huge feet (NO COMMENTS ELLIS!!!) and hands, and is generally big boned so that makes it hurt even more. (I am small to medium boned, so no excuses there!!!

You gals are a riot. I too can play Panama canal, which was actually alot of fun at my Mom's. They call her tub the swimming pool its designed for 2-3 people with jets. WOOOHOOO!

I weigh less than my DH, but did I mention he is a huge fat :censored: Sorry when he tipped the scales this morning at 260 and continues to shove crap in his mouth I just get so frustrated. I want to scream AT LEAST TRY! Okay, but I am not responsible for him and I still love Mr. Buddah Belly:lol:

Why do I have Jessica's quote up there cause I have a story. A couple of years ago when I was a very svelte 11/12 my hubby wanted to buy me a winter coat for Christmas. He went to Lane Bryant and when the lady asked hm what size I was he said he didn't really know but my boobs were about like this(imagine making a hump in the air about the size of a beach ball). Well then the lady asked if I was bigger or smaller than her. I wonder what size she was? Because I ended up with a size 28 coat for Christmas:lol: This one went to charity, I was too embarrased to take it back cause of the boob thing.:D

Miss Chris

Ha Ha...oh my goodness. That is sooo funny! At least he tried. Chris has never bought me clothes. Jewelry yes...but no clothes.
