in Just-
spring when the world is mud-
luscious the little
lame balloonman
whistles far and wee

and eddieandbill come
running from marbles and
piracies and it's
spring

when the world is puddle-wonderful

the queer
old ballonman whistles
far and wee
and bettyandisabel come dancing

from hop-scotch and jump-rope and

Lame, queer, and goat-footed. Sounds extremely uncomfortable.

I keep wondering who that dog is... maybe I should switch back.

And then there is one from Grade 1 - not when I taught but when I was a kidlet.

"Listen" said the kitty Willow,

I think I weighed 48 pounds then and had my hair in braids with ribbons. :lol:

But it is you Ellis! Note that he is reading, you always have your nose stuck in a book :)

Plenty of birdies twittering outside my window today. Thank God for Spring! It's warm and sunny (kind of) and I'm going out to (willingly) do some yard work. Good exercise there...physical AND mental!

Hey Ruthie... guess what I saw at the peace rally the other night?! A couple of ummm, .... what the **** are they called... water something something dogs. Oh lordy... I knew the name as soon as I saw them... my mind is a blank. They looked very peaceful. :D
