why so much salad dressing?
 

Does anyone know why restaurants put so much salad dressing on? I always ask for it on the side so I can control the amount as I prefer none to swimming. But yesterday I had a taco salad that had ranch in it. Not just a squirt or two but swimming. I almost couldn't finish it. Now I know even with taco salads to ask for no dressing.

Is there a reason for this or are people just squirt happy?

The restaurants I go to always put the dressing on the side. Some people ask for extra dressing. I barely use any. Maybe it's different in Mexico.
