I lived in apartments for close to 25 years and only ever had the type of mirror that's over the sink in the bathroom. I think it really contributed to my weight. The only time I ever really looked at myself was in a dressing room and I was always shocked.

After I lost the weight and started maintaining, I forced myself to buy an inexpensive full length mirror!

I totally avoid mirrors or reflections in glass windows when I'm out. I keep my eyes ahead and downcast. No side glances.

I also *really really* hate when I go to take a photo with my cell phone, but the camera shows me instead of what I'm pointing at. when the view is reversed. Hate that!

My mirrors are the daily people in my life whose negative perception or attitudes toward me make me want to have the self control I need not to give in and numb myself with food. I can not control my mirror people, I need to learn how to control my reaction. Anyone with any tips or word of wisdom are welcome in my life.
