hi everyone had a good day today

B-yoghurt
L-optislim shake
S-handful of fruit and nut mix
D-steak and veggies
S-apple

ex- 60 calories on crosstrainer and 1 hour walk

Still no wine since last tuesday! But all of that will change when I go out for dinner tomorrow night with my boyfriend. There will be wine, and meals not as thoughtfully prepared (healthy wise) as the ones I make at home. I'll try my hardest to keep it light though. I can easily get swept up in having a good time and over indulge!

Fresh Hi, I'm sure U will b okay @ dinner w your bf if U begin dinner healthy.

Instead of a appetizer, order your fav veggie roasted which caramelizes in the oven or get it steamed. Drink a large glass of water prior to ordering your wine. Don't drink a 2nd glass of wine & also eat a sugary dessert; choose which one is most important to U. If it was me, my choice would probably b to sip a 2nd glass of Moscato wine at the end of dinner while bf eats his dessert & when bf offers to share, say U are enjoying your time w him, & say to bf to feed U just a taste. That always lets my hubby feel thoughtful to me & we're both content; instead of allowing Excessive Calories to b a unwanted Intruder at our dinner.

I enjoy wine also & I follow the famous chefs advice & I cook w what I enjoy to drink when wine is suggested or replace a fruity acid. When I cook w wine I measure the amount for the recipe or to tenderize a meat. The alcohol is gone during cooking while the fruit acid enhances the ingredients. Pour 1 sip in a glass & put the wine away to use w another recipe. I sip 1 glass as a evening dessert a couple of times a month & add some sliced fruit like a Sangria or a wine Mimosa, instead of a sugary/carbohydrate dessert.

Sorry that I've been MIA for a few days, but I've been kind of stressed. My appointment in LA didn't go as well as I hoped. My doc found a lump on my chest, and wants me to drive back on Fri. I need to take a body scan to make sure the lymphoma is not recurring. What a bummer! I thought I was on my way to recovery!

Dee, thank you for your prayers. I'm so sorry that you and your husband went through this horrible experience, too. It's devastating for the whole family. I'm saying prayers for you, too - especially for your kindness.

Still trying to eat right and move. Today I did a slow 20 minutes on the treadmill.

Bad calories-240, ex-yardwork. Not so bad. My annuals were pummeled by hail this week-so sad. However, the stems are intact so I think it will all come back. Lots of debri in the yard still needs to be cleaned up.

tyla-So sorry to hear about the lump, that stinks. One day at a time.

FF-Enjoy your date! A week without wine is a lot of saved calories.

Renee and Terapet, thank you for your prayers and advice on taking it one day at a time. I feel better mentally today. I am going to be strong about all of this. I guess we all face challenges in our life.

Eating good so far today. Going to do my slow walk on the treadmill.

Dinner was lovely last night. Very pleasant evening with a little bit of indulgence, but not too much. I dont think my overall calories for the day were too high.

Yesterday:

B- water melon and coffee (weird combo)
L-fruit and nut mix
D- Duck with olives and pasta and a few slices of salami pizza
S- 1 glass of white wine and a small cocktail

ex- 100 calories on crosstrainer
1 hour or more of cleaning the house

Dee - Thanks for the tips! I went for a glass of wine instead of dessert

Tyla - I'm so sorry about the bad news my thoughts and prayers are with you for your upcoming body scan.
