Just discovered this thread. I, too,vow to Lose 50 at 50. I started three months after my big 5-0 though. I've lost over 15 lbs since the third week of June. I may bleed over into the 51st year but that's ok.....slow and steady wins the race.
I don't count calories but I do keep a general tab throughout the day. I've went to mostly whole/homegrown/local foods and absolutely no diet or fake food. I eat very little processed food and I usually make it from scratch (except some bread products). I'd like to hear any updates and how you reached your goals. |

I too am trying to lose fifty pounds. I put on twenty after several surgeries and am stuck right now, but I am going to keep trying and do all I can to take it off. They want me to lose just a pound a week. I had thought it would be easy -- but I have been struggling. Anyway, welcome. I have just returned here after nearly a year but was away with medical issues. It is great to find support. |
